@@RedTail1-1and even then, it's not a death sentence. Back when the old BR spans were around in Sim, I got matched against MiG-29s and such, and even them I managed to outturn and score a gun kill. It just comes down to your Skill, the skill of the opponent and some luck.
if you're within 16km of firing an aim-120a, you dont need to keep the lock the entire time. it will go pitbull immediately and holding the lock will not grant it better guidance, so once you fire just peel off btw
The AIM-120A is now pitbull from 20km. But that doesn't mean lock-on is meaningless. Even in pitbull, it receives location information of lock-on time, which greatly affects notching resistance.

It may not be the best but atleast it can get the job done. As for grb, I'd see this as an alternative to the assta1. You trade the lgbs for the mavericks(along with a comically large bomb) and the ability to do CAP

Yeah Pantsir missile is 32G, while VT-1 is 50G, that's why VT-1 is more dangerous if the target is in range, diving alone is not enough, diving hard and fast, very fast is the key, that's why you need an expert or ace crew to pull up in time before hitting the ground.

Imagine...ECM, targeting pod and shrike anti sam missiles. I still suspect they bring ecm next update as counter to fox 3, after they grabbed as much cash as possible
2:22 the VT1 only pulls 50G for a very small portion of its flight and most of its flight time, it pulls around 20-30Gs because the burn time is so short and its a big missile so it loses a lot of energy at range, granted still "enough", just thought it was worth mentioning
I like watching no commentary videos, so there are people like to watch and listen to the game, not the gamer I guess haha. Also I try to show the beautiful aspects of WT, I edit out all the annoying stuff, like bugs, missiles end to dead targets, jumpy mouse moves, aircraft deaths and more, to keep the experience smooth, methodical, immersive, realistic and relaxing as much as possible. Indeed, fox 3 is bigger threat than SPAA now. Try using U.S Harrier in a 12.0 lineup, not 12.7, you will see much less spam of Fox 3 carriers. The matchmaking will not throw you in 12.7 environment every time, maybe use F-16A with Harrier, not F-16C.
Hey Hunter, I wanted to get your opinion on top tier US C.A.S., I have been at a odds with bringing out the F-16C or the AV-8B Plus, in your opinion what do you thing is better for GRB, basically the overall impact the plane could make? Just asking cause you're like the C.A.S. God.
I'm not a god or something lol, thanks for kindness. I had better experience when I used Harrier alone in the lineup or with F-16A, not C. Why? because the match making probably will not throw you in 12.7BR, right now SPAA is not as big problem as the spam of F-15s, Gripen, F-16s and Su-27 with Fox 3s.
I found your channel by watching you do CAS in one of the strike Viggens! Any hope you could do something from the swedish tree again? I wish we had Danish drakens in the game since aparently denmark modified them for ground attack.
The sad reality is that I wanted this aircraft so much and now that it’s here I’m overjoyed, but the sad part is without premium time and without playing for long (or without subjecting myself to top tier) every single day, it’s gonna take me eons to unlock it. At least Hunter is showing that when you get it, the wait was worth it :)
I enjoyed watching your video. You're really good at using the Maverick G for CAS. With its low magnification, it can be difficult to spot enemies and distinguish them from debris, making it challenging to locate and aim at targets without getting intercepted by anti-aircraft vehicles like the Pantsir. Do you have any tips for using the low-magnification Maverick effectively without a targeting pod?
I don't really distinguish the targets and they are that far, now way to do that. I just lock pixels and launch, but if that pixel launched a missile with big white smoke trail then it must be an SPAA so all the love and priority are given to him. The real challenge is in ground SB, you need to know who is friendly and enemy when flying an A-10 Late, identifying enemies here pretty much depends on the vehicle position, the vehicle path, the direction of fire and also the time of battle. Yes, press the NVD key while in the camera. Alternatively, hold alt and drag your mouse to the NVD icon at the bottom of the screen and press on it (while in the camera of course).
Are you planning to do a vid on the new Su-27? Ive been trying to do cas with it, idk why but it seems like the TV guidance system is acting weird. Contrary to the SMT, the Su-27 struggles to get consistent locks, especially if I am trying to lock even on a slight angle. Might just be me, but would love a vid where you can give some tips and tricks. Best regards.

@@PanzerSteinn shadowplay is super simple to config, just select your native resolution and set bitrate to maximum you are comfortable with, file size wise as for av1 vs h264, the difference mostly matters for streaming, less so for recording, assuming your gpu is able to handle max bit rate for both you'll gain only smaller files and potentially faster encoding after uploading it to youtube

At 04:52 - without looking up towards the target, your radar managed to find him and you always clicked your radar lock button then launched your missile with ease. Just wandering how you find a target without pointing your nose toward it and how you locked it straight away? Thanks mate, hope everything is ok with your health and good things come your way.
TL;DR: turn off "constant elevation of radar antenna" in the settings There's an option called "constant elevation of radar antenna" and it "locks" your radar so it scans directly ahead, if you turn it off then the radar will try and scan a set area regardless of your pitch, and you can also manually raise/lower the scan area if you have the controls bound. In this case the TWS picked something up so the radar moved the scan zone on its own to keep the target inside it
real question here: why using Tornado at 11.7 when you have the F4-F with better AA missile, maverick that are FAF comparing to GBU's and for globally the same flight performance ? I really want to read your opinions on this
First, I'm a CAS geek, if my lineup didn't have 3 aircraft or more then I can't be a happy person. Phantom is "Fighter" and Tornado is "Striker", use both of them in the lineup plus UHT, different roles in the lineup mean no SP penalty, I mean spawn points will not get doubled if you died in your Phantom, also Maverick missile is very easy to intercept, maybe it is just me because I prioritize SPAA so much, will show it in an F-16C video soon anyway. Also Tornado has 2nd gen thermal TGP with laser guided bombs while Phantom has Maverick D TV sight with 2x magnification only.
I see the Phantom as more of a support/fighter aircraft, it has some of the best radars in the game paired with Fox-3 making you an excellent air patrol unit. The Tornado is more of a strike aircraft only, but it gets the advantage of carrying a targeting pod with plenty of GBUs.
@@Hunter_i86 Okay i see so depending of the situation I should have both aircraft ready in the same lineup. If I understand correctly, Tornado should maybe play "first" because of it's capabilities with his GBU's (if you survive and makes kills cool i guess) but if you get shoot down by another aircraft or SPAA(or if there is a lot of them already on the map) maybe the F4-F is a good air alternative with Fox3 and Maverick ?
Why is it that I can't see my missile's progress on TWS like you can? I only get the little notch above the radar contact, but not the missile path itself.
@@xellisrevilo I figured it out. I never did the training thing for the Fox 3s. The datalink doesn't show up on your TWS until you've done that, apparently.
Keeping the radar lock as much as possible and providing telemetry data to the AIM-120 is wise; if other players had some DCS experience, they would know these. My sim lord, have a good game! :)
Does anyone know how to switch targets on the radar for aircraft? I have been trying to find which control it is but don't have much time to myself to go searching for it.
and they broke the game again if u bvr and get no kills whatever reason there is u get absolutely no rp or lions and u cant even go for ground targets because u got no cover gg gaijin u did it again
I can't, Air RB with all small maps, fight in the center only, enemy player labels and missiles marks is just a childish situation, I don't know why it is still named "realistic", they should name it Arcade Part 2. I play Air Sim EC though, a mode for real connoisseurs at least.
lol so many bad plane players ... UHT is still nerfed, only few hits and no kills .. planes are 5 BR above ground AAs, except Pansir, yet it cant shot down most missilles.. so unbalanced if ur not stupid and keep at least 8 km distance with mavericks...
