This company is capable of creating bespoke (customized) gimbals for customers who want specific features. I asked for modifications and I got them. So if you're not happy with the gimbals that are available, you can contact Icecam to get a custom gimbal made.
One thing I like about these reviews is the way you show us how you do the movement. It's really helpful and I don't mind watching the review as much as I would of. The openings crack me up those you don't sound really enthusiast about. But that could be just your personality.

Great review. Other improvements would be 1) locking axes for easier balancing like the weebill does, 2) battery door in front of grip so 1/4" mount can be placed at the bottom of the handle, 3) tripod legs under the grip with quick release like weebill, 4) 1/4" mount on handle for mounting monitors or other accessories, 5) follow focus
Do you actually use the follow focus? I've never been able to pull focus properly while walking with a gimbal. Would love to see some good sample footage done with a follow focus on a real shoot.
@@BrandonLiUnscripted I don't even have a gimbal yet actually. I enjoy watching your videos and your reviews. I probably wouldn't use the follow focus myself, but other potential customers will be comparing this to the latest offerings from DJI, Zhiyun, Feiyutech, etc...and those gimbals have most of these features including the follow focus at much lower price than the IceCam.
That's my point though. I don't think anyone uses the follow focus, at least not for focusing. Maybe for zooming. If you can find a single video showing someone accurately pulling focus as a solo operator while moving the gimbal, and filming a moving subject, I'll change my mind. But I've searched a lot and I've never seen anyone do it.
@@BrandonLiUnscripted perhaps people aren't using the gimbal follow focus because most users are using fly by wire lenses. I've recently started to adapt vintage manual lenses on my GH5 like the Canon FD 50mm 1.4. It's so much easier/smoother to manually focus than any of my fly by wire lenses. I'd be very interested to see you do a video on that. Vintage Canon FD glass can be bought for very cheap on eBay. Got my 50mm f1.4 for about $60 shipped! As for using the follow focus for zooming, I've seen someone do an interesting dolly zoom effect with a GH5, Sigma 18-35, and Ronin-S.

I bought Tiny Vision 3 about 1 month ago and it is great. What I really like of it? It is really light and ergonomic. It is perfect with my Gh5. I recommend it.
The app is a huge part of the reason I use this gimbal. I can reprogram my gimbal completely if I want, changing all the follow modes, speed/smoothness etc. And I can tweak other stuff like the mimic mode (follow pan only, follow tilt only, smoothness etc). It even has face tracking built-in, though I haven't gotten that to work properly yet.
Hi Brandon, do you have an experience with the 16-35mm G-Master lens and this gimbal? I'm struggling to find a gimbal that works with that lens and the a7iii
Great review. Never heard of this company. So it's great that you provide some information about it. I will definitely check them out. Currently I use DJI and Zhiyun, but you cannot alsways go with the big players.
The stability looks even better than an actual chickens head! 🐔 but 900 euro!?!?! If I could afford it I would definitely buy it, maybe in the near future. Great review!

Does the battery lock in place? I find the Manfrotto type plate at the bottom useful for quick attachment to monopod or slider, but wondered if the clamp is off of the gimbal would the battery simply slide out from the gimbal.
Great review, just a shame about the cost of it being 900 euros whereas the new dji ronin sc is around 300. I really like how this gimbal comes to a smooth stop, less robotic...

as usual a great review, thanks;) since I'm here, I wanted to ask you if you have ever experienced a sudden micro shake along x-axis during slow panning movements that usually last a fraction of second. I noticing it quite frequently with sony a7 iii on a moza air2 gimbal. Can it be some issue with IBIS? what do you think?
Hey Brandon, got a question here. In your Ronin SC video, when you zoom all the way in on your 24-105mm the viewfinder hit the gimbal. have you tried a 24-70 or that Tamron 28-75 f2.8(which is smaller and lighter)?

I have not bought a gimbal because there isn’t a gimbal out there that will take my nickon d800 and a 14-24 wide angle lens unless you could recommend something that will work with this set up
Realize it’s a small company using quality components and all, but the price point should be considered carefully if they want to break into this competitive market segment and really compete with the big boys. They may need to consider an investor to get their production up to a point where they gain some economy of scale and make this offering 25 - 30% less, at which point they should be able to crush it. But for me it is quite hard to find differences between Brandon Li Version, RunbenGuo Version etc. .They do not mentzion anything in the describtion. sold weebill lab last week,, such a disappointing gimbal , thinking towards moza air 2 , but this lightweight gimbal is more preferable , if it great does the job. what do you think @brandon li ?
I just bought the Icecam Ultravision from the link on your site. Is there an adjustment to make the response tighter and less mushy and laggy. When in Pan and Tilt follow mode, I find that it has a slow mushy response. I have a Zhiyun and it has modes for more tight response to pan/tilt input on the handle.
do axes lock for travel? also, in my version of thumbnail it shows you supporting gimbal with your off-hand...just a habit or what you felt you needed?
Oh, wait, are you/were you in Vienna? Nice review btw, as always! Size / load capacity of these Gimbal seems to be pretty good. But because of the front button and lock switch I still prefer the Weebill Lab.
Patrik and Dora weebill is my weapon of choice, great design, but wish it were more stable and smoother. I definitely run into robotic movements, tried all sorts of settings, not completely gone

I don't like doing comparison videos, but I did very similar tests in my Weebill review video. Hint: the best gimbal is probably the one I'm currently using.
@@BrandonLiUnscripted Fair enough, I previously purchased the Weebill and Im bumbed that it doesnt have a follow mode (without holding a button) like the first and second gen zhiyun crane. Maybe they'll add that in their firmware update. I might wait and see if the ice cam will release other gimbals, maybe something that will lock in place like the weebill or like you were saying a tripod mount that just screws on. Thanks Brandon
yeah if the price was arouind 500 i'd bite but not worth it. there is also no guarantee of customer service or support as it's a one man shop that could fail. hope he does well though!
Brandon Li, you mentioned that there is just a hole and no ability to attach external accessories. Do you know what type of attachment he uses? I asked him in the comments to his video but so far no luck.
Too expensive for what the market actually offers: Ronin SC, Zhiyun M2, etc. These gimbles should be 1/3 of it's pricing. No way an european product can compete with the asian ones. It ends up as a niche product...
The real value is the ability to customize and have personal interaction with the company. But if you don't need that, then the other gimbals might be a better fit.

Or once u use it (as you did), you can send it back to them to change the aspects that u feel need to be improved?
