I really like this song. She does a great job as always. I like this a bit better than Je ne sais quoi from 2010, but if you want to take a look at my favorite of hers, then check out her song "Someday" that she came 2nd with from the danish finale in 2009(The year we send Brink with Believe Again).
Hera is a great personality... but... coming 4 the 3rd time back 2 eurovion... needs a big song.. and this isnt really a big one... sounds like demo .... Sigga was by far the better entry
I voted for Sigga Ózk here in Iceland. In fact I had to double take as I thought you were one of the backing dancers for her. Hera Bjork will not qualify 😢
This is decent. Her voice is amazing, she is confident, the arrangement is solid, it is quite tacky and cheesy but kind of in a semi-charming way. the staging is good but lacks impact and the lyrics are cute and charming. But to me it is just really solid and it doesn’t have much progression to it and it falls flat for a whole three minutes. This was not the expected entry for them to send as everyone in the fandom was betting on Bashar to win as he was Palestinian and the song was much better than this as it has more of a captivating vibe ot it that could’ve qualified them. This was honestly my second last in the selection so I clearly had lots of other favourites and I am kind of sad this won but can’t say I was surprised because she has gone before and already has a massive fan base so her win is not the most shocking. But this won’t qualify because the field is super strong this year and it will sadly get lost as a song without a revamp and even then it’ll struggle. It is a 6/10 for me, elevated by her strong voice and charisma.
Ok, next, please. They had a quirky song with a killer bassline and a slick, cool production in their NF (Wild wild west - and here I am talking about music only, not the performers ) -- but this easy-to-listen-to, inoffensive, dated -in-not-a-good way, mid Eurovision number was chosen instead🫣. In one ear, out the other. The chorus is recycled straight from James Newman's "Embers" . HB works super hard to sell this mediocrity of a song to the listener but even for a performer of her experience and skill it's an uphill task. Sorry not sorry but this screams a NQ for me, especially in the competitive semi final 1.
