Here's a video project that features amazing landscapes and wildlife I saw while traveling around Iceland in October 2015. I tried really hard to capture the true diversity of the country, which is unlike any other in the world.

Locations include: East Fjords, Porsmork, Landmannalaugar, Husavik, Dettifoss, Selfoss, Stokksnes, Jokulsarlon, Vatnajokull, and Haifoss.

I havr read that most of the parts of the prometheus movie is shot here.and some parts in Jordan . The starting scene of water fall makes me energetic and excited and thriilling.. I will surely visit this place... And Japan and Norway also..heavenly experience

Paul - I'm filming in Iceland at the moment, although not with a drone, A really nice reel, although it looks like you're still getting to grips with UAV filming. Some wasted "empty" shots but also some beauties (eg the high shot with birds circling blow). The edit could be tightened and made more dramatic and some of the high shots linger without adding to the story. A bit more light and shade needed to highlight the narrative. But wonderful to look at - congratulations.

Paul thank you! This is beautiful. My friend and I are planning a trip to Iceland for next June or July and want to avoid the popular tourist areas and focus on more remote locations...Where are the locations at 2:16 and 3:10, and, were these accessible via a 4x4 camper van? Those particular scenes really caught my attention in your video...

Just depends... keep an eye on the wind and rain. I'm not sure how much weather the Mavic can take, but I assume a bit. Just be vigilant. Cheers!

Hi Paul! my bf and I are visiting Iceland next week. We wanted to visit and take photos at Vestrahorn, but were told there was some sort of controversial fee (some people said it wasn't legal for the person there to be charging tourists to view the area). Did you have to pay some sort of fee to access the area? I actually don't mind paying if it means it'll make things easier for us but just wanted to be prepared! Absolutely love the video you put together, I am so excited to see Iceland in person!

Thanks! I've been there a couple of times, usually around sunrise, so pretty early in the morning, but I've never seen anyone charging a fee. There is a parking lot with a little food shack at the beginning of the road and I can see how someone might set up some kind of fee at that gate, but both times I've been out there the gate was open and nobody bothered us. Love this! Would there be any chance of you giving me permission to use this in a non-profit film I'm working on? The film is based on the Legend of Zelda video game series (you can check out more of it on our youtube channel) and it was paid for completely out of pocket. You would get full credit for any shots used. If we could exchange via dropbox or another online drive that would be best, if not no worries!
