I was there and met Hafþór for the first time and shook is hand. Videos and photos don't do him justice, when you meet him face to face you realize how absurdly huge this man is!

Pleasantly surprised by the commentary. It's not cringey/scripted/forced like in the bigger shows (Arnolds, Worlds, etc), but instead it feels natural and it's quite funny sometimes. Good job👍

Hope that recovery too 👌🏻 Yes 2018Thor was one of the strongest ever but 2016/17 Eddie was stronger. Just mindblowing absolyte whole thing who was able win heavier and taller guys with total brutal strength. 210+kg overhead 260+kg bench for reps 340+kg squat for reps (320kg 15rep) Capable for 500kg deadlift Managed competition stones and also able to fight at pulling events against taller and heavier guys. Others height advantage was Eddie's only weakness... That peak Eddie was total heavystrong package. One of strongest ever, the Beast And greatests ever, Brian and Z, they are in theyre own class 😎

@@maxa8838 Out of the 13 times Eddie and Thor competed against each other, Thor won 11 of them. Eddie won 3 international titles in his career. Thor has 28. I dont know how you can possibly say that Eddie was stronger?

@@maxa8838 Time to stop this commenting on every Hafthor video saying Eddie is Stronger. Let me educate you for good that Hafthor Julius Bjornsson is the Strongest Man ever. For reference, I will give you not only Eddie, but Brian and Zydrunas also. Just give me two comments. Thanks.
@Nirsterkur
@Nirsterkur Месяц назад
*PEAK BRUTE STRENGTH:* Deadlift, Squat, Bench and Log: Brian: [467.5], [410], [245*], [211] = 1,333.5 Zydrunas: 442, [453*], 265.5, 228 = 1,388.5 Eddie: 500, [405], 280, 213 = 1,398 Hafthor: 501, [460], 250, 213 = 1,424 For Americans: B: [1031], [904], [540*], [465] = 2,940 Z: 974, [999*], 585, 503 = 3,061 E: 1102, [893], 617, 470 = 3,082 H: 1105, [1014], 551, 470 = 3,140 Key: - Numbers which are within [ ] brackets are done during training or not sanctioned by a governing body and not infront of a credible referee. - The * indicates that no actual 1 rep max was done but a double (2 reps) were converted into a speculative 1RM using a standard 1RM calculator. - Squats from Zydrunas, Brian & Eddie are all claims/ no video proof. Therefore nobody can prove them with irrefutable evidence specially on what kind of a depth they hit, and nobody knows whether they actually happened or not. Additionally, - Brian's Squat is not even source quoted, it's just mentioned in Wikipedia without any reference (where any unauthorized person could have edited). - Zydrunas's Deadlift is 1 inch deficit. However his best standard height DL is lower than that: 435 (959). - Eddie claims for a 300 (661) Bench, but it's equipped. Zydrunas claims for a 286 (631) Bench but there’s no video proof of it. Even if we give those to them, their supertotal will be still less than Hafthor’s (who has video proof for all 4 of his lifts).

Honestly, the Iceland's Strongest Man competition really shows us how Thor is far beyond everyone else. We already can see it at the top level strongman shows, but when in comparison to the not so high-level athletes, it's scary how Hafthor is just a different human, he plays around with the weights the guys are dying to get off from the ground.
