Travesia de Islandia en 13 días, en autonomía (sin apoyo externo ni abastecimiento) andando y en packraft, desde la costa Sur (Vik) hasta la costa norte (Akureyri), 372km. Con Hilo (hilomoreno.com; planetapackraft.com), Curro (cota3mil.com) y Jose C. Peñate.
Caminamos 11 dias (excepto algún vadeo grande en el que navegamos para cruzar). La ruta tuvo cambios diariamente debido a las condiciones producidas por el invierno más frío en décadas, encontrándonos la isla nevada e inundada en muchas zonas, aunque el buen tiempo en general nos favoreció. El día 8º navegamos un río de desagüe del Glaciar Vatnajokull hasta el lago Hagoengulon,en el que permanecía abierto el flujo del mismo (el resto estaba congelado). También el río Eyfajyardara desde el nacimiento pero las condiciones de rápidos y rocas y la cantidad de agua no nos lo permitió hasta bien entrado en el valle de Akureyri. En Junio, rápido y con agua casi en su totalidad, pocos rápidos excepto una zona de estrechamiento de 2 km al inicio de las granjas (rápidos nivel II-III severos).

Iceland crossing in 13 days, autonomy (no external support or supply) walking and packrafting from the South (Vik) coast to the north coast (Akureyri), 375km.
We walked 11 days (except some large wading in which we sail to cross). The route had to change daily due to the conditions produced by the coldest winter in decade, finding a lot of snow and many flooded areas in the island, though generally good weather favored us. The 8th day we sailed a river drain from Vatnajokull glacier to lake Hagoengulon, which remained open flow of it (the rest was frozen). Also Eyfajyardara river from its source but fast conditions and rocks and the amount of water we did not allow it until late in the valley of Akureyri. In June, fast and with water almost entirely, except for a few quick constriction of 2 km at the beginning of the farms (level II-III rapids severe).
