The part where Rukia said goodbye to Ichigo while she was disappearing was such an emotional moment. I could feel their sadness. And the part where she stabbed him with the sword, the look on his face and hers... I just really felt the emotions between them, their bond. I really wanted them to be together. They wouldn't be the lovey dovey conventional couple, because I don't really see them being all mushy, but it would be clear they love each other by the way they look at each other.
RenRukia made no sense after we were told she ignored him when Ichigo lost his powers. You don't ignore someone you love over a friend (plus she called her kid "Ichika". Don't come and tell that's not a mix of Ichigo and Kaien, two men she loved). I just get very sad to see that IchiRuki, one of the best pairing (I loved Gin and Matsumoto a lot as well) wasn't made canon for whatever reason.
@@lucienguyen4055 Orihime try as might wouldn't hold the same powerful shared moments of Ichigo and Rukia. From the very first moments he decided to fully trust her in impailing him to give him her powers. That is life changing. Orihime has another vision of Ichigo, a more idealized version while Rukia actually knows his deeper thoughts and emotions. I'm still sad about the ending. I can't even think about it except to look back at the good moments.
@@deagoldylocks8337 you are right she cant because her moments are different and unique and powerful as well you ignoring them is your problem. And orihime didnt knew the real ichigo? Get out of here with that lie

If you guys have watched bleach from the beginning then you must know that kubo tried to ship ichigo and rukia somehow but later idk what happen to his mind and he absurdly denied it all. It was rukia who saved ichigo and gave him the power to fight and in return ichigo even risk his life to save her, there conversation was nothing of a mere friends, the moments they shared and everything else. Orhime was a side character in beginning,it was rukia all the way and the looks they had in their eyes while looking each other, tbh i don't care much about shipping but why would u give us such moments just to shatter it later.
The current greatest couple in all of anime is Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell, if Tite Kubo had just stuck to his original common sense plan, he could have taken that title with Ichigo and Rukia
@@terrarionaqu5262 They are a couple. Stop lying to yourself. If they werent a couple, how much more is Ichihime? They did not have any significant moment with each other. Unlike Rukia and Ichigo, the bonds they have, and everything. Stop denying the obvious facts, all through out Bleach, it is always Rukia and Ichigo..... #IchRukiForever
I AM BAWLING RIGHT NOW. They were made for each other and years later this STILL hurts immensely. The injustice of that manga ending will at times reverberate and flash through my mind randomly. I will never be dissuaded how I feel about them being each other's true romantic destiny. Their chemistry was so palpable and there is nothing quite like their connection in other works of manga / anime. There's a reason so many cry out against the final ruling since it was all lined up and the biggest detour happened.
I feel childish for getting so attached to anime characters but damn this shit was tragic. I feel betrayed that ichiruki fell through at literally the last arc lol
@@MrInuhanyou123 the last arc wasnt shitty at all. And the last chapter was super rushed and yeah dissapointing but because of the ships? Not even close. Thats just your bias talking

@@sakuracardcaptor4709 Ichigo and Rukia are soulmates anyway. IchiHime is just plain boring so, if Orihime is the mother of his child and the one he married, Rukia is still the one special person who changed his world and his soulmate.
When Ichigo's powers were finally fading away, and he was saying goodbye to rukia. that's when they should have kissed. Then she fades away in his arms...
I still love Ichiruki and I still love Bleach. I thought that I would hate Bleach after that ending but here I am, still browsing for Bleach. Really can't wait for TYBW. Ichigo and Rukia's bond is as strong as ever. And that's why I still have strong attachment for Bleach.
Every time i remember this I start to cry! 😢😢😢 Their relationship is so beautiful but at the same time so tragic! 😢😢😢 Ichigo losses his powers, Rukia faded away to The Soul Society... very tragic love story...😢😢😢 WHY THE HELL THAT MUST HAPPEN?! 😭😭😭
They are so iconic. Thanks for making this video! I love remembering their bond and growth through the years. They really helped shape my expectation of a healthy relationship into my teenage and adult years.
anyone who properly can read literal devices/metaphors and plot mirrors can blindly see that they were juxtaposed to each other as characters and build up to end together (even if he hadn't made a time skip/marriage chapter) look i like orihime but being the pining girl tm was literally her only function for like 80 - 90% of the series. And ppl wonder why so many prefer ichiruki??? their "relationship" build up was LITERALLY ONLY ONESIDED UP TILL THE LAST CHAPTER. I'm happy (but still sad) for them but calling /US/ delusional is just insane, even if you leave the shipping interpretation aside. Srsly just look at the symbolism in the freaking manga. (sun and moon anyone?? one of many moments and tropes) orihime didn't get any of this and tbh she had better chemistry with Ulquiorra than ichigo 🤷♀️ at least then she was somewhat interesting....
You aint lying. Was a bleach fan until literally the last chapter. Could defend all the crap writing kubo put out until that slap in the face. No disrespect to inoue but by doing that kubo did her dirtier than anyone else

This song and video hurt me. I love Ichigo and Rukia together. It's like a heartache because I fell in love with the characters. It was a profound experience
I hate the fact that Kubo had a change of heart and made is Orihime x Ichigo. I lost interest in bleach at that moment damn!!! anyways still a strong supporter of Rukia X Ichigo. Still hate Orihime (WORTHLESS!!!). Thank God for Fanfics and Djs
Yeah. Orihime is too dependent. Let's just say, someone asked Ichigo, who changed your world? He wouldn't say Orihime, he would say Rukia. Ichigo bore so many wounds and shed so many blood for Rukia. Rukia changed Ichigo's destiny. They have been together for the longest time. They have that bond, ya know?
I am an ichihime but i am not biased enough to say ichigo was being romantic (romantic is a strong word to use here) to anyone for that matter (during the run of the series) because he had more internalized emotional issues to work out + rangiku actually told orihime that he's a silly boy that doesn't understand romantic love yet. I just felt theres more stuffs ichigo exclusively does for orihime like offering to walk her home, telling shinji to apologize to her, exclusively made a vow to protect her, bothered when shes scared of his mask, felt at peace once she encouraged him to actually care for himself and not to put the burden all to himself, coming from the dead hearing her calling for him, gives gentle look to her, putting down their walls and got familiar to each other in fullbring arc, to the point that both of them can finally stand side by side as equals and accepting each other's help during yhwach's fight as oppose to hueco mundo arc where they were at their lowest point stepping on each other to protect each other. In the final arc Ichigo was finally able to depend on others without burdening everything by himself while orihime can finally reject her role of being protected and ichigo trusts her enough to protect him. They are depending on each other and battling together in a synchronized way. This is pivotal to their characters individually as well. Was all those romantic? At least for me not really, maybe something gradually leading to that. But they have established their dynamic as the sword (ichigo) and the shield (orihime). Thats their kind of dynamic. It also works with the analogy of the sword and the sheath like in rurouni kenshin. Orihime is a great foil to ichigo's personality, balances each other out and it just makes more sense for them to end up together romantically. It really doesn't help when the anime changed numerous small stuffs that ends up changing a huge context as whole, and this applies to ichigo as well not just orihime. Other than that emphasizing or adding ichiruki scenes that wasnt even there in the first place/exaggerate existing scenes to make it seem like its sentimental/romantic while it could also be different and more nuanced in context. I blame this entirely on the studio itself rather than the audience though. Again, there's nothing wrong preferring one to the other but we have to acknowledge both ichiruki and ichihime plays out different dynamics where ichiruki is more of "push past pain-cheer up, man up, be strong" and ichihime is more to "addressing those pain-let yourself be vulnerable" hence it felt more personal. I just dislike it when people say ichihime had no chemistry/dynamics at all. This is just my opinion btw . This video explains perfectly regarding orihime as a character, ichihime AND ichiruki so i hope it helps to give you guys a better understanding since kubo's writing can come across as cryptic, nuanced and poetic hence its difficult to understand it beyond surface level if you don't really focus and ponder on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aIW1tdyncGg.html
It really doesn’t make sense to me that they didn’t end up together. Not trying to just force a ship, but from my perspective and the way that both the characters were written it just…makes sense! Like honestly speaking, they’re both people who aren’t overly emotional but are very empathetic and caring…just bad at showing it. They both seem to *get it* about one another and see past those curtains. I feel like in many ways they have connected and bonded in a way that feels significantly more personal than just a platonic friendship. I’m not saying their only option is to be together, but I feel like with how their personalities seem to be, that if they were going to choose ANYONE as partners…literally only eachother seem to make sense/fit.
I had been a big fan of Bleach because I liked the dynamic ( almost a lover yet not just a friend) relationship between Rukia and Ichigo. I started watching when I was in High school but dropped the animation and manga after hearing from my sister the tragic ending "Orihime" ( or whatever her name is, kinda forgotten). I agree that if Ichigo ended up with Rukia, it wouldn't make sense because we all know that Rukia technically is dead while Ichigo is a living person. However, the connection between this two would have made more sense than him ending up with the orange girl. If we are checking sense here, it would have been better if Ichigo stayed single died and met Rukia in Soul Society someday. Sounds a cliche but if they really want a romantic ending, it is the best option. True that we should respect the writer's decision so I wouldn't go far tell him to change it but I also believe that the supporters can voice out their opinion about the ending after all we spent time, some even spent money, to support Bleach. If you forbid people to express their opinion, might as well stop book and movie review and analysis.
This is the reason why I appreciate the anime, the OVAs, The Movies and all those animated end credit segments a lot more since they give characters more screentime and developments. Seeing this montage kinda just make me feel that the manga is just too short and all the events taking place happen within too short of a time span like the Fullbringer arc and the Thousand Year Blood War arc happened one after the other basically only after a month

Luka Kastelan You are correct, that isn't what he said at all. That translation is wrong. The correct translation is: "To say it is friendship is wrong, but to say it’s romantic / dating relationship is also not quite right don’t you think? Regarding these two." And when interviewed about "Fade to Black" ("I Call Your Name" in Japanese) he said he wanted viewers to focus on the changes in their feelings towards each other.
Yukime Hime well, at least they would be more acceptable couple, don’t you think. For me no one should get married (it is not a shoujo) but if the “need” to end up with someone her best friend (and the person who began the whole serie) would be a logical choice.
"Less than lovers" well in that case falls into the category of "they didn't have sex" because in order to be lovers they would've had to "made love" and that is only so because he changed his mind about his writing. Going off of Kubos words is a ludicrous as listening to Trumps words. Writers forget what they have in mind all the time. Hell Akira Toriyama couldn't even remember Bulma's hair color and almost made it pink to start Dragonball Super. He's been writing the story since I was in middle school possibly elementary school. He quite when I was in my twenties Imagine that. Rukia is the white moon, Ichigo is the black sun. 90% of the stories centered around Ichigo's struggle to "protect my friends" and Rukia was his key motivator in the majority of those. Of all FOUR movies, how many of those were about Orihime? Hell the only reason she got a story arc in Hueco Mundo was to mimic Ichigo saving Rukia. It was for Ichihime fans and damn near the exact same plot.
