100% buttercream for 20 years and you have convinced me (after watching all these tutorials for the last 4 hours lol) to give in and try your RI recipe. My cookies have always looked “nice” considering everything is freehand buttercream but this would bring me to a whole new level. Very nervous my customers will miss the taste. They willingly sacrifice the perfect look for how they taste. Thoughts? Cookie recipe is very different as well but still gonna give it a whirl. Ordering all the fun stuff from your links 😊 Thank you for sharing all this in such a wonderful format. Learned how to make flowers better tonight too! 🎉
The plus to royal icing is that it's much easier to pack and transport, not having to worry about crushing your designs 😁 but it may take more time. But your desigsn can me much crisper with royal icing as well. I'd offer and see how it goes, I love my cookies and my family (who will always tell me if they are bad haha) love them too! So it is possible to have them taste great too! And thank you for the views 😁😁❤️
Hi Stephanie! I just got some new Halloween cookie cutters, so excited to use them. But I am really starting a accumulate a lot of cutters! How do you store them and keep yours organized? Do you label the shapes somewhere? Maybe a video about organizing your supplies would be helpful? Have a great day!
Yay!! Its so fun to decorate new shapes 🥰 I have a video on my supplies, it kind of shows how I store my things, but for my cutters I have these plastic bins I bought and they're clear so those work nice. I try to keep the themes together, so 1 box is Christmas the other is baby and wedding, another is common plaques I use and other shapes. I try to keep the ones I use most together to make it easier. But there are times I have to go through all of them to find something 🙈 there is an app, but I don't know the name, where you can take a picture and name them and then sort them in the app and assign a bin number and then you keep them in that bin! So that could be a good idea as well to keep organized. Others use an excel spreadsheet as well. Here's the video that may help! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QDeVqbd3upI.html
Great job Little Cookie Co ! I am starting out decorating cookies and appreciate your tips. Normally I stick with cakes. Also, would it be possible to get a link to the music ? Thanks 😊
There are no signs normally (and that's why it's so devastating when you have a perfect cookie and then wake up to a bunch of craters and holes). But normally craters happen in smaller or narrow areas, so I always say, when in doubt, add a squiggle of thicker icing and flood on top. After a while of making cookies, you get the idea of what will crater and what won't. Also very helpful is drying in a dehydrator or blowing a fan on your cookies!
