Interesting video and nice that the 9700 has auto Doppler adjustment for satellite work. Good editing job to make the guy that moved in front of the camera (at the 1:15 point) disappear out of the way.
Taking this to the logical conclusion, they ought to make a special housing to allow both to be fully integrated, one for vertical and one for horizontal. It would help hide cables too.
@@HamRadio2 Dude, an updated ID-51A with full color screen, and a big-honking battery with Bandscope would be killer. My only gripes about the 51A are the lame screen, no DTMF, and weak-sauce battery.
That empty pizza box is not worth the € 2K in EU ($2240) . I miss the knops on modern rigs. Everything is hidden in digital menus, and under the hood is software.
9700 should have an option for 220 mgh. No one in my area uses 1.2., and the price should be down by $800.00... if people only new how cheap it is to build these radios, it's unreal...
Yea they are quite uncommon. You can get a transverter to attach to a standard HF rig that will allow you to tune to the 220 band and do all-mode. Most of the times in the VHF/UHF contests, that is how these guys are using 220
You need a pair of cheap folding mic stands and some Hamradio2.0 crime scene tape! These folks cannot seem to respect or even see there is a tripod/camera there!
maybe I could design a pad that goes on the floor that shocks the crap out of you if you walk onto it LOL then lay it down in front of your camera and when someone walks in front of it it gives them a zap LOL :) I could be rich selling them to you tubers at ham vention LOL
