Well, that is what Cunard likes to tell you. But in the end: People who travel between the USA and Europe, will take the plane. People who take QM2 do so, because they WANT to go on this cruise. People relish in the idea of her being an Ocean liner and they travel to the USA like people did 120 years ago. But in the end they just spend their vacation on the ship to enjoy their time aboard. I fail to see the big difference between QM2 and a cruise ship. That being said, I‘d take a cruise in QM2 gladly; you will not make me set a foot on one of these ugly aboniations they call cruise ships nowadays. And yes, I like the idea, to dress up to go to dinner rather than coming in Flipflops.
