Sony has lost their way and don't know how to get people interested in their other products,I remember in the late 90s early 2000s alot of people I knew had a house full of Sony devices,TVs,HI-FIs etc.

Maybe in the US & Europe, but not in Japan. Playstation came in 2nd place in JP. 1st was Saturn, 3rd was N64.

+TYLER HALSEY yes it did, cell processor was so complex and the achilles heel of ps3 and defeated by xbox and wii. ps4 can be called a redemption/counter attack picking up from the ps3's mistake and flops.

Justin Graziano Nintendo doesn't even try and make new games anymore they just sell us ports or games from 25-30 years ago from the Nes And Snes etc or just more advance version's of existing gamesm

+Vinny Raptor Well, the Playstation may have given us great gaming experiences, but Sony put us down the path similar to were we are now. Its all about how fast the games can come out for sale then patch them, or ad DLC, or whatever features/gimmicks the console has available, more than just making great games and releasing them. Back at the 4rth generation with Sega and Nintendo, they constantly had to fight to make better games. Sony never made games back then, and all the games on the console were form 3rd party developers. Playstation has no mascot or special stand out 1st party title. It losses its charm. These days, its more about what console has better multi-plat experiences, or which is more powerful or has the best controller.

+Matthew C Actually, Nintendo had always been the most gimmicky, it's not Sony's fault all these things are happening. maybe some but not most. and having the best controller is actually a good thing. you'll need to be more specific otherwise, I don't see where Sony went wrong. it's mainly the 3rd party developer's fault for doing that kind of Crap.

+Vinny Raptor Sony didn't do anything wrong. They made a powerful console with the correct media, and it was easy to develop for. They never made any mistakes with the PS2 ether, but they marked it as a DVD player then made games when it was in the homes. This new way of marketing a game console was so successful that every console to this day tries to mimic this. Consoles aren't game centric anymore. (Look at how Microsoft marketed the Xbox One) All I'm trying to say, is that we didn't need the Playstation. I struggle to see what good came out of it.

FoundationsofPause in what way dude???? please ge me several reasons, at least ill listen to your claim, i wont judge. i do like video games, my first console i ever played in my life was a nintendo family computer( nes is less popular in philippines) and my favorite is PS2, due to kingdom hearts, wwe smackdown vs raw 2006 and suikoden 4(a good rpg game from konami b4 the bs wars between kojima vs konami/kozuki fiasco) but i dont hate xbox due to halo's story and i would say xbox strenght came from halo and its online shooting from xblive

Jone Cuntapay Leaderboard are always hacked on consoles. The DLC choices are pitiful and cost money. If DLC was around in the 90s for console you could of been sure it would of been all free and expanded great games even more. Experimental games like Mirror's Edge sell purely due to annoying publishers. Mirror's Edge was one of the only new games I can remember from that generation. Had a lot of potential and love it, but it could of been better. Internet servers just to play videogames that have single player qualities. Pay to play multiplayer. The hardware is always like 7 years behind the curve but will cost you a pretty penny. Controller prices are marked way up. Save yourself some cash and just buy the controller and a decent PC.
