You are spot on Jeroen - I don’t normally admire malls - but iconsiam is on another level - the design, layout and ambience are amazing - well worth crossing the river for.
Iconsiam is a great place to take first time visitors to Bangkok to introduce them to Thai food. Eat and then go for a drink on the 6th floor for amazing views.

Iconsiam has the absolutely the biggest food court in Bangkok. Maybe it was just me but the food court was just too crowded and the entire mall was just overwhelming. That being said, the river views from the upper floors was amazing. BTW, I found the BTS Gold line a pain as you had to exit at the Krung Thon Buri Station and re-enter at the Charoennakorn Station next door. I much prefer taking the shuttle boat from Sathorn Pier. Well, I can understand that some people might say that Iconsiam is the best mall in Bangkok, because its really an impressive mall. But to me Siam Paragon is even better and more impressive then Iconsiam. I have several reason: 1. In my opinion its too complicated and stressing to reach Iconsiam by public train. Siam Paragon is much much much easier to reach by BTS. 2. Siam Paragon has this huge and amazing "Ocean World" built right below the mall. Unbelievable impressive!!! 3. I love the food court of Siam Paragon which is in my opinion the best food court in Bangkok. 4. I am a cinema lover and Siam Paragon has the most impressive cinema I have ever seen. Its called Enigma and you are watching the movie in a super impressive and elegant bed. I am always taking thai girls to this cinema when I am going on the first date with them. It always "works" ;-))) All in all: No way that Iconsiam "beats" Siam Paragon
Leuke video Jeroen Ik ben het met je eens IconSiam is nog steeds het mooiste winkelcentrum en de foodcourt is fantastisch! Ben er 2 keer geweest nu. Het is makkelijk om daarheen te gaan met de BTS. Het was erg leuk om je in het echt te ontmoeten en met je te praten bij IM AROI. Helaas ben ik sinds afgelopen vrijdag weer terug in Nederland, het weer is hier zo slecht bah. Ik mis Thailand nu al😢
Nice mall afgelopen zomer geweest, volgende trip thailand staat al gepland volgend jaar kerstmis. Kan ik mooi je filmpjes weer een jaar lang zien. Goed bezig ga zo door jeroen top.

What day/time did you go there, Jeroen? I've been to that mall a few times, and it's jam-packed every time. It would be nice to enjoy the food court (sook) without fighting crowds.
It definitely will retain its title for the foreseeable future since no upcoming projects I see can compete with it! I’m still curious how the same budget for Emsphere is the for Bangkok Mall which would be 5x larger??? lol ICS though is a baby and I know it’s supposed to be like a community mall but ehh it could be planned better! Wished they planned for a Iconic Super Tower right where ICS is but would need to acquire probably the same land size of Icon behind it!!! That would be Epic!
Horrendous 🤢 Far to many people milling about. Time to call Christmas trees what they are, which is, Christmas decorations. I've never seen a Christmas tree in Bangkok. Pretty rare worldwide these days.
