About a month ago, I went to the ER due to intense vertigo (I suspected it was kombucha poisoning!) by the time I got to the hospital, I could not walk straight. I was diagnosed with a mini-stroke. I have a family history of strokes. My question is can TIA symptoms be as simple as mine were? It's hard for me to believe it really was a stroke, but, I'm taking this very seriously. Unfortunately, I can't change some of the stroke risk factors - I'm a male, 66 yrs old, don't smoke or drink alcohol, and I exercise. I've been on a keto/ carnivore diet that I was cheating on which stalled me with pre-diabetic bloodwork and I was working overnights at a group home. Those are the only things I can change. My Father's strokes were due to a blood disorder (he died in his 40s because of it), and my Mom's stroke was probably due to taking Vioxx! The blood disorder was one thing I was not tested for, which was an intriguing part of your video. I'll have to look into it. Currently, I'm wearing a Holter monitor for 30 days to rule out any heart issues that may have caused the TIA. I am currently on a baby aspirin and a blood thinner (Plavix), which have made my chronic migraines (which I have had since my 20s) totally stop.
