This NDE made me smile, because I was also a specialist nurse in a surgical-neurosurgical intensive care unit in the 80s in Germany. But there I had the supernatural experience of hearing a male voice that asked me to check on a new colleague in the next room. I turned around because I thought a doctor or colleague had spoken. But I was all alone on the surveillance corridor! When I wanted to move on because I thought I had misheard, the voice got louder, called me by my first name and repeated the command. I got goosebumps and thought, well, there's no harm in checking, even though I was doing a stressful job with my two had patients. And actually, my colleague's patient's life was in danger due to a care error. I was able to save him at the last minute, but my knees were shaking afterwards, which would have happened if I hadn't listened to the voice. Since then I have known that Jesus really lives and works and is not just a historical person❣️

If you don't mind, I have a question: my mom got an aggressive type of lung cancer which metastisized to her brain. The last two weeks of her life she was paraplegic and during the last few days of her life she started hallucinating: she claimed to see our (living) dog running around her bed in the hospital, she would insist that I cut off her hair in the middle of the night and would yell at me when I wouldn't etc... I heard in a few NDEs that people in similar states as my mom regained lucidity when crossing over and that people taking care of them witnessed them smiling, even talking to their deceased loved ones. That did not happen to my mom. She just... Left. My question is: do you think that someone came for my mom (my dad or her brother or sister) and if my mom is OK?

My son was a cardiac ICU nurse for 8 years. He saw a LOT of this. Once he felt “urged” to stay in a patient’s room for 20 minutes. They really don’t have that kind of time but he just had this strange feeling that he needed to be there. Finally he needed to go to his other patients but as soon as he was out the door he heard this long breath coming from the patient. He ran back in and hit the code blue. We believe the patient was literally waiting to be alone to die. Not that day though. Somebody didn’t want him to go YET.

Oh, the beautiful symphony of medical staff working ‘a code’. In the flurry of trained personnel working ‘in the ZONE’ , this really fills me with awe. To know the patient is the one holding the cards, so to speak with knowing smiles and a transfer of deep wisdom - I am proud to see that this nurse admits in rare humility, that she was transformed by his own words of truth.He had an unwavering sense that she was present while he flatlined and it took a room full of people to make life happen again. She knew he was observing her moves and in that admission- eternity was attainable. 🎁

I recommend anyone watching this to read “imagine heaven “by John Burke. It is the 2nd most comforting, uplifting book I have ever read. A friend of mine was nurse for many years. He was working a code, and when they got the man back, the man was actually angry with the staff for bringing him back. It was so peaceful and wonderful on the other side. Christians who put their faith in Jesus are home free! We don’t die. We transition 😊

I was a Hospice RN for nearly 9 years. I witnessed the death of a few people but cared for many who were actively dying. Many of those actively dying were peaceful and quiet, but others fought the whole process. In speaking with our hospice chaplain who had visited with them when they were conscious, those who accepted God and Jesus were the calm ones, and those fighting death had not. No telling what .they are "seeing" while they are actively dying.

Different NDE coming from the third-person, I would tend to think that working ICU that you would have heard of NDEs or hear them from fellow colleagues. I wonder how many NDEs occur are in general, and how common are they to be reported as soon as they occur while still in the hospital. From this channel, I recall many NDErs stating they waited awhile before revealing their experience as they took time to ponder the significance and reality of the other side. This guy didn't wait, he was quick to say he was floating in a ceiling corner while the hospital staff were busy with life saving measures.

As I was a nurse this story was not a surprise. I had a similar experience with a patient. But I was already a believer before becoming a nurse and my patients made my belief stronger.

Many of us have wondered what our purpose is here. As if it is just one or two things, like learning to forgive or being a better listener. Maybe instead, there are many purposes. In today's NDE, John had interactions with a nurse in completely unplanned and sort of random situations. John said some things to the nurse which changed her life. He did not plan that nor did the nurse seek that out, it just fell into place. Maybe these random acts are always out there and these are our purposes. I don't think that nurse would have ever expected any of this and John probably never expected to change her life with his simple words but it did happen. We too have that power and most of the time don't even realize it.

I like that idea about random (seemingly) events as our reason for being here. Of course, I don't really believe anything is random. I think random is just a word / concept we use when we don't have a good explanation for why things happen the way they do.

I don't believe that anything is random in God's plan for us... as I was told by my deceased father through a medium, everything happens for a reason! In life he was anything BUT religious. In fact, totally against it! But he told me, also through the medium, not to lose my faith! The medium said he showed her a Bible and then put a big X across it to describe to her how he was in life. It was a great session!

What a fantastic account! It reminds me that in God's world, nothing goes to waste that can help someone, and that everything happens for a reason! How wonderful that this NDE helped 2 people, and that the nurse needed it (I think) more than the experiencer!
