Idaho - 50 States - US Geography 

Idaho is often thought of as a snowy, mountainous place, especially since so many visitors come to ski in the Idaho Rocky Mountains, but it is also home to the deepest gorge in the US, Hells Canyon. Idaho, the "Gem of the Mountains," became the 43rd state on July 3rd, 1890.
