We planned to visit Idar Fort in northern Gujarat. We left Ahmedabad by road to visit Idar Fort. Idar Fort is about 120 kms from Ahmedabad. Idar is a mountain of grey granites and stones in the Aravali range of mountains. It is on the way to Mount Abu, Rajasthan. Idar is a historic place. It is very hot during summer and quite cool in the winters as the granite stones of the fort attracts more heat during summer and less in the winters. Idar fort is most polular among students and trekkers and photo passionate people. Idar fort is about 640 feet high from the sea level. One can reach the top of the Idar fort in about 1 and a half hours. It is very comfortable to climb the fort as there are systematic steps made on the idar fort. There is a place on the fort which is almost ruined. It is not conserved by the Government. We liked the place as there are very good scenic views from the top. People do go on the top of the fort and enjoy the surroundings of the mountain. We too enjoyed a lot while climbing the idar fort and reaching on the top. There are temples on enroute. We visited a mahakali temple which is in the natural cave. The place was so nice that we stayed there for quite some time. There are some muslim mosque and jain temples also. We also see one more palace which is called Ruthi Rani no mahal. It is said that the queen of Idar king used to climb up to this palace when she was annoyed with the king. And the King used to bring her back to the kings palace after compromise. The fort is good to see in the season of monsoon. Hence we suggest that one should visit this fort in monsoon time or after that when there is much greenery in the surrounding. I hope you liked our video. Idar is a town in Sabarkantha district, Gujarat, India. It is known for the manufacture of handmade wooden toys, tiles, its temples and various beautiful architectural monuments on its hills, and its historical background. Idar is at the southern end of the Aravalli Range.
इदर भारत के गुजरात राज्य के साबरकांठा जिले में एक शहर है । यह हस्तनिर्मित लकड़ी के खिलौनों, टाइलों, अपने मंदिरों और अपनी पहाड़ियों पर विभिन्न सुंदर वास्तुशिल्प स्मारकों और अपनी ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभूमि के निर्माण के लिए जाना जाता है। इदर अरावली पर्वतमाला के दक्षिणी छोर पर है ।
इदर को ऐतिहासिक रूप से इल्वादुर्ग नाम दिया गया था , जिसका अर्थ है इल्वान का किला । इसका नाम बाद में अपभ्रंश होकर इदर हो गया। [1] [2] इसका उल्लेख पद्म पुराण के साथ-साथ महाभारत में भी इला के नाम से किया गया है। [3]इदर 23.83°N 73.0°E पर स्थित है । [11] इसकी औसत ऊंचाई 195 मीटर (639 फीट) है। इदर गोल आकार की ग्रे या लाल ग्रेनाइट चट्टानों वाले बहुत ही सुंदर और सुंदर पहाड़ों का घर है।

कैसे पहुंचे इदर फोर्ट (Idar Fort): इदर फोर्ट (Idar Fort) तक पहुंचना काफी आसान है, क्योंकि यह अहमदाबाद के पास है. इदर अहमदाबाद से अच्छी तरह से जुड़ा हुआ है. इदर अहमदाबाद से सड़क और रेल मार्ग से जुड़ा हुआ है. आपको पहले मेहसाणा या उंहजा के लिए एक ट्रेन में चढ़ना होगा और फिर निजी यात्रा से इदर के लिए आगे बढ़ना होगा. यदि आप इदर के लिए बस से यात्रा करने की योजना बना रहे हैं, तो आपको कलोल या प्रांतिज में उतरना होगा और फिर निजी कार से आगे बढ़ना होगा.इदर फोर्ट (Idar Fort) गुजरात में एक लोकप्रिय पर्यटक और ट्रैकिंग स्थल है. इदर फोर्ट (Idar Fort) गुजरात के विजयनगर से करीब चालीस किलोमीटर दूर है. इदर साबरकांठा (Sabarkantha) जिले में पड़ता है जो एक शहर है. इदर फोर्ट पर ट्रैकिंग करना बहुत मुश्किल नहीं है, क्योंकि पहाड़ पर रास्ता अच्छी तरह से बना हुआ है. मुख्य किले तक पहुंचने के लिए आपको कई सीढ़ियां चढ़नी होंगी.
इस फोर्ट का निर्माण महाराजा दौलत सिंह ने बीसवीं सदी में करवाया था. रास्ते में आप धार्मिक पर्यटन स्थल को भी देख सकते हैं. जैसे, Zarana Mahadev Temple (जो एक गुफा में है) . यहां आप शिवलिंग के दर्शन कर सकते हैं.
ये मंदिर बहुत ही रहस्यों से भरी है. इसका बड़ा रहस्य यहां हो रही पानी की आपूर्ति है.
-यहां हमेशा पानी की आपूर्ति होती रहती है, इसलिए मंदिर का नाम Zarana Mahadev Temple. जराना का हिंदी में मतलब झरना होता है.किले की चोटी पर पहुंचने पर आपको इस इलाके का खूबसूरत और यादगार नजारा देखने को मिलता है.
ये जगह फोटोग्राफरों और ट्रैकिंग करने वालों के लिए बेहतरीन स्थान है. दर फोर्ट (Idar Fort) जाने का सबसे अच्छा समय मानसून के वक्त का माना जाता है, क्योंकि उस वक्त पूरी घाटी हरियाली से भर जाती है और इस किले को और खूबसूरत बनाती है.
