Rowdy journos of Indian Express tried their best to hound Bimal Patel. But kudos to him and his confidence, he decimated their every ill intention.

Thank you IE for bringing it out to those who are interested in knowing what is going to change in Lutyens Delhi, a change for the better and a change that would be symbolic of India breaking out of the British baggage. One can’t miss the professionalism and sense of responsibility in the way Mr Bimal Patel has answered questions when the questions were confronting and loaded with scepticism as if they (IE)wanted to dig out something that could have been a headline article against Modi Govt. I would like to ask IE as to why they have that attitude and secondly why can’t this paper view changes happening for the better in our country with a sense of pride? Thank you

That's a wonderful observation and the a point well raised. Sometimes i feel sad about media who does't understand difference between a criminal and a normal person. I mean with whom they are interviewing and what they should ask today's media is just looking for spicy stuff. I think everyone must respect each other's profession treat them accordingly.

unfortunately media today is hand in glove with political parties and works in a certain direction to create sentiments, and this prejudiced approach to things seems to have shackled most of media today. it is almost like a targeted campaign to achieve some ulterior purpose or to pursue answers from a perspective that the change is being brought about to serve some latent diabolical agenda rather than for the good. it is amazing how indians want change or progress or at least advocate for it, but are unimaginably resistant to any change, even something fundamental that can directly improve government functioning at the highest level. this dominant section of media, especially, has been over-skeptical of anything and everything that the current regime does. maybe it's a plan at the end of the day, create so much ruckus over minimal things that the government can't venture out to do more "bolder" things. maybe it's just plain old hatred. maybe it's just propapaganda, but whatever it is, it is overly apparent.

Since 1972 the parliament building has not worked for India. Critics want to wait another 40 years and want the government workers to work in tight conditions. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Great Personality. To have the successful building in future you need to put the stone today. Probably journalists dont understand this..and question everything which goes right way. Ignore them.

Seems sensible if central vista project is scrapped or postponed at this juncture we can Think about it again when country's economy is back on track

This is not a show off project, this is an infrastructure project providing much needed capacity augmentation to our parliament complex. Its construction at the least will create jobs in construction and related sectors. Postponing it will only escalate project costs.

Mr. Economist, How can our economy be back on track please tell??? Do you know how much employment it will create in form of engineers, architects, designers and labourers. How much help it will provide to steel , cement and various material industries which are stagnant. Also I want to inform you that government pays rents more than 1000 crores every year for various buildings. And mind the fact that these buildings are in very posh areas where rent is too much. Hope you understood.

Brother… How will economy come back on track if you don’t build infrastructure? Ifrastructure provides more jobs than anything else. When its completely built there will be more people coming and using these facilities, then hotels will come etc etc… it goes on!
