So I’m currently making this I’m from the uk I’ve followed the instructions step by step and my dough is not dough all measurements the same my dough is like a thick cake batter someone please help 😫😫😫😫😫
I don’t know the amount but I know the ingredients sugar flour water egg milk baking powder sprinkles margarine and I looked at it and I think that’s all
Ive seen these made with sour cream but I agree with the margarine. To help get a better texture a 50/50 mix of butter and oil helps (which is you didnt know, margarine is butter and oil)
Looks like a perfect copy, but I could never stand the taste of those cookies. The cookie was so bland and the frosting was too rich imo. They were a little better refrigerated though.
Yes finally a video about lofthouse sugar cookies...I hate the cream...glad you did the video about these cookies, to me they are more like cake that's why I love the texture
No, i’m all about real ingredients not artificial flavors, is that not the whole point of making it at home? to use quality ingredients and a natural version of the garbage the sell in the stores?
The butter changes the texture of the cookie if you use real butter instead of margerin. Trust me I don't like using it either because it is an artificial fattening agent. But if you use real butter it gets too dense and flaky on the outside and really oily. I'm nit sure about the vanilla part though I think you could possibly get away with it though I'm not sure. Some things just can't be avoided if you want to make them like the original, normal cooking you can but baking is where it gets tricky.
