Oh yeah. My daughter had been listening to them for a while before this performance, if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't have known who they were as early as I did and I definitely would not have seen this performance since I stopped watching award shows years ago. Now I only watch them specifically for BTS.

from 2016 they started becoming popular globaly with blood sweat and tears.. and by 2018 i think they became the biggest boyband.. and they started breaking records of others and records they themselves created.. its actually amazing to watch their growth.. its soo wholsome.. even then BTS performing in american tv show was a big deal..... and yes same.. meetoo.. im also watchingg all of their live performances from before.. i love doing thta..

For not singing English songs they are loved by so many people in every country. I am so glad to have been able to see their concert in 2019 and will never forget. Was glad to hear when you three was going to a concert and you feel the same as I do. Being a BTS fan is sooo rewarding and makes you just feel good!!

Was there that night to see them perform DNA. The air in the theater was positively electric. The youtuber named Br*s came in late and stood in front of me. He's 6'7" AND was wearing a hat. I asked him to take his hat off, as did others. Nope...and he filmed himself the whole time. Unfortunately, I'm in that video trying to peer around him. I never could get more than fleeting glimpses of the boys performing. Have frankly NEVER forgiven the guy, although I hear he's finally turned into a real ARMY. I'm trying to believe it. Since then I only watch 2 or 3 trusted, REAL Army reactors and the Bangtan love is genuine with you guys. Thank you so much!!!!!

Watching this performance again here. I couldn't help tearing up. They've come a long way. I'm so proud of them. Back then, watching this on tv, my family thought I was crazy going nuts over this. Now, look at my family, they're all ARMYs haha.

This was literally the first time I ever saw them!💜 I never really liked to watch awards shows but that day I was so bored and decided to watch the AMA’s. I just remembered my jaw dropping right from the beginning it was such a culture shock! Every other performance after them could not compare🔥

My favorite thing about those early 2017-2018 U.S. award show performances from BTS is like the fans already knew who BTS were, but American celebrities didn't know yet (Except a few of them). So there's a bunch of hilarious fan cams or even social media posts from the U.S. celebrities who were there who were just absolutely SHOOK at how much cheering and screaming Army was doing at the awards show. I particularly remember, i think it was Neyo posted on social media a video of fans at AMA 2017 or 2018 screaming and he was just like "holy shit... who are these guys? How am i late to the party." or something like that.

I came to know that in this performance there were critics who thought they were lip synching, they couldn't believe they can be this stable singing while dancing. But then the fancams proved to these critics they weren't 😂

This performance is how I became an ARMY 4 years ago. I call it my ARMY-versary. I saw them blowing up on TWT a week before this performance and decided to find out why they were the first Korean act to perform at the AMA's.

I thought I had this performance on my DVR but I don't 😔 However I do have dang near EVERY show they have been/performed on since 2019 on there 😆😆🤷‍♀️ My 19 year old daughter is the one that got me hooked on being an Army and that was before they're American TV debut. This was actually their first national American television debut. They had appeared on a regional television show (based in Chicago I think) before this. I’ve seen it on RU-vid. The stage was tiny & it was near impossible for them to do the choreography. Also an interesting bit of information: they actually changed some of the wording in the song. The Korean word for ‘you’ is ‘niga’. However, they were aware that it might sound too similar to a derogatory word for an African American. So they changed it for this performance.

Ive been going back and watching and rewatching all of their live performances as well as the dance practices! I cant get enough of them! I notice something different each time, and as Jimin has always been my bias, Ive always had me eyes watching him predominantly, and I am rewatching dance practices watching one member at a time, and am on the fence about changing my bias to Suga!!! Después de esta presentación, se vieron abrumados por el éxito, que no esperaban para nada, en América, y tuvieron tantos problemas emocionales a causa de la presión que creían que no podrían controlar,les dió tal pánico la situación que estuvieron a punto de disgregarse. Por aquel entonces, Yoongi escribió la canción Outro:Tear, dedicada a su disband( ya que así lo habían decidido). Cuando todos la escucharon, lloraron y pensaron mucho en ellos y en army, ya q sabían que eran un pilar fundamental para army, para muchísimas vidas, donde ellos les daban esperanza, apoyo y felicidad. Al final, casi segura ya la separación, decidieron darse otra oportunidad y lidiar con la mega presión que les suponía continuar. Decidieron seguir y disfrutar lo que tuviera que venir. Por eso esta presentación és muy significativa para ellos, porque podría haber sido el fin de BTS y Outro:Tear los salvó( literalmente dicho por Yoongi ). Perdonad si no utilizo el traductor, es que mi móvil se está muriendo y no me carga casi nada😢

I've always been disappointed that the audio/visual is off in this OFFICIAL video. There were some people saying that BTS lipsynced here (which MANY ARMYs disproved bc they were there) and this video being the way it is gives those people more fuel. You can even see that the audiences singing was off with the song. It irritates me. BTS KILLED here and they deserved better quality. Im so proud of them. I was also in LA for the concert (day 3) and it felt UNREAL. I couldn't believe I could see them with my own two eyes. And the energy ARMY gave was unforgettable.

Hey guys, so as a newer person that discovered BTS a couple years ago, I didn't realize that there was already a large appreciative fanbase in the US. The host did a great job of announcing BTS - contrary to this nice introduction, Anderson Cooper and his sidekick (can't remember his name at the moment) were REALLY insulting to BTS when BTS traveled over to New York to perform live during the New Year Ball Drop. I really respected Anderson Cooper, but his behavior was disappointing to say the least - so disrespectful made even worse because BTS were GUESTS in our country. What are your thoughts on that? I believe the year was 2019.
