On December 29, 2003, human remains were discovered on Taylor Creek Road in Christmas. OCSO detectives determined it was a homicide, but the remains were unidentified for nearly 20 years. In collaboration with Othram Labs, and thanks to recent advancements in genetic genealogy, the victim was identified as 26-year-old Holly Rose Leavines Garcia.
