OMG!!!! I am literally crying from joy over here. I am so glad to stumble on this video. I am 39 years old trying to prepare for my TEAS test and I couldn't wrap my head around this concept. Finally, someone explained this very clear and easy for a English second language student to understand!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!

It's great that you have clarified the point of the independent variable coming first because the dependent variable depends on that. That is not something that is often mentioned in that simple way, but it makes all the difference between understanding these variables, as opposed to figuring it out.

I think the level of engagement depends on the level of understanding not the other way around. Students who don't understand will switch off and disengage from a lesson. So engagement depends of understanding. Engagement is therefore the dependent variable that responds to understanding the independent variable.

I think The rental charge is (IV) Because the number of days you keep a DVD depends on the charge of the DVD per day . If the charge is more you keep less days and the vise verse. Thank you
