Dear khalid ali, I think for checking backhaul , it is better to use gtpu packet loss rate or gtpu packet out of order.

@OurTechPlanet 9 месяцев назад
Yes, gtp stats can also be used.

Thanks for efforts & knowledge sharing. I have a question please, as there's no direct counter to calculate slot usage, so How "slot usage" can be estimated?
@OurTechPlanet
@OurTechPlanet Год назад
The denominator of cell throughput usually is equal to slot usage as it indicates the number of slots or TTIs that are used to transmit data

Thanks for Ur présentation.how to find backhaul issue only through drive test? Only by noticing throughput trend changing?
@OurTechPlanet
@OurTechPlanet Год назад
For Drive Test, you can verify backhaul issues by looking at slot usage. If Slot usage drops that usually indicates a backhaul issue

Hi Khalid, thank you very much for the explanations. now the question is how we can find the counters for this issue in wireless system (preferably LTE). we have ZTE and Huawei vendors.
@OurTechPlanet
@OurTechPlanet Год назад
If you cannot find those counters in your vendor, you can still estimate them. The denominator of cell throughput usually is equal to slot usage as it indicates the number of slots or TTIs that are used to transmit data. Similarly, the cell throughput numerator is the sum of all the traffic while the user throughput numerator is the traffic without last TTI/single TTI traffic. This means that if you get the delta between cell throughput numerator and user throughput numerator, then that should be estimated value of last/single TTI traffic - if there is no padding data.

hi khalid, have you ever share tips & tricks how to solve retainability issue in VoLTE ??

How to find last last slot utilisation...can we find through KPIs or through drive test.
@OurTechPlanet
@OurTechPlanet Год назад
Usually this is from KPIs. Normally there are counters for amount of data in the last slot.

Do we have RAN counters for slot usage ?

@OurTechPlanet Год назад
Not directly, but there are indirect approaches

@lio0092
@lio0092 Год назад
@@OurTechPlanet would you please elaborate more, on how to find it from the pm counter
@OurTechPlanet
@OurTechPlanet Год назад
@@ank707 Yes sometimes, it can be related to the packet loss but not always. Usually RAN packet loss is pegged at PDCP which will not know of any packet loss in the backhaul or application layer. So, it can only be seen in RAN packet loss counters if there is a counter that can read and peg missing SNs at the input of the PDCP layer

@@lio0092 For slot usage? Usually the denominator counter of the cell throughput is an indicator for slot usage
