Great info but where I hunt in the northeast the state is the smallest and it’s hardwoods and a swamp ! These tactics are great for open farm country where there are pronounced pinch points between properties , none of these exist on my hunting property so tough to relate to
Heh. These funnels typically only produce during certain periods of the rut. Hunt them at the wrong time and you’re wasting your time. You are much better off hunting doe bedding itself.
Ok I love the videos but dam is it just me or I'm I the only person that is not within a 100 miles of state land that is not covered with crop fields ??? Everything around me (NC ) is alllll big timber and pines ... and the one or 2 places that do have crops get hammered with pressure..
@@chadreid1068 ya brother it's like every video I see is either swamps or transition zone between food( Fields) ...but it's just not that way here ...and anymore it's all about bouncing around but and here seems like if you find deer there's no method they just walk everywhere lol... Here you kinda just need to put in seat time and wait for them to come through that spot again might be a day might be a week before they come back through..
I would love for some of the people that make all these videos to go to sc or come to no and show how to hunt and kill mature deer on PUBLIC LAND... That has hunting pressure. Man I have tried everything from walking a long way from other people to riding a bike in.
@@chadreid1068 I hear ya brother I have a set now that's 45 min walk in bunch of sign but last weekend I could hear people talking up on the hiking trails ...but hate to leave all the rubs and scraps
Thanks for sharing. Good information. I need to use my technology more. It would speed me up for sure. Best of luck. The rut is on in the Carolina’s and I’ll be after one this week. Good luck this fall!
Just had to show the state ground I hunt. Ive hunted there for 20 years. Awful place during gun season. Super pressured. Lots of Michigan guys come down.
I learned in trapping coyotes and it applies to rut funnels. Zoom out on the map and look what land feature will connect over 10 miles or so Then zoom in off that onto your allowed property. Sometimes the perfect hour glass up close doesn’t connect any other properties. Gotta increase the probability rates.
I like the hour glass setups. I have a spot I hit on a good condition day with an easy wind only and it's only 30 yards off the road and boy when the pressure is in and everyone walk through the access it's amazing how many deer move through that. Amazing how many peoe over look it as well. Everyone wants to go deep because of what they hear from pros. Remember people is not our job like those professionals.
