Hello, I recommend watching problem 45 again because the set up is very similar. Here's a few things that should help you graph it: The parabola is sideways and opens to the right Vertex: (-1,-5) Focus: 1/4p = 4, so p=1/16 Focus is at (-15/16, -5) Directrix: x=-1 - 1/16 = -17/16 AOS: x=-5 Hope that helps 👍

Hi there! For 44: It's a parabola that opens up. Vertex: (-3,-5) Focus: 1/4p = 1, to solve for p you can cross multiply so we get p=1/4 = 0.25. The y-coord of the vertex is -5 so -5 + 0.25 = -4.75 Focus: (-3,-4.75) Directrix is 0.25 on other side of the vertex (below). 5+0.25 = 5.25 Directrix: -5.25 Hope that helps! 👍
