I know right, but he's probably just starting out so the obstacles either got him or the MINERS (why did that capitalize lmao) messed him up way back at the beginning
They’re probably just rookies at this point, this is very early on in the timeline and they still have millions of years to become some of the fastest bots of all time. Maybe if more sequels or other tie-in content gets made we could even see some character arcs for them where they become much faster.
There are transformers who's name overlapped each other's. Like in IDW there was a dying bot called Prowl, but later changed his name to something else because he didn't want people to get confused with THE Prowl.
I doubt they put that much thought into Hot Rod’s inclusion as an easter egg here, but it does create some interesting narrative opportunities. The alternative is they don’t actually have anything important planned for him and they only threw him in here for fun.
That would probably be multiple sequels down the line and I’d be surprised if they’ve planned that far ahead yet. They could honestly just retcon it if they really needed to because only his name appeared and we never actually saw him. But it would definitely be cool to see a new take on his character. Either way though throughout the millions of years Optimus could still grow to be a very good leader that everyone looks up to and it would make sense that even some bots who had cogs before him would look up to him and feel like he’s greater than all of them. Optimus started lower than any of them and rose to the highest level possible, that’s very inspiring especially to people who started out with a bigger advantage than he did and weren’t able to achieve anything close to what he did.
I like how in the race, they showed the alt modes of each bot and keeping it consistent, silver bolt and power glide as planes, mirage and inferno vehicles.
@@ManuelRivera-df1ky because it's Transformers and the race was for everyone with a Transformation Cog. that and all the jets besides the aeiral bots and Poweglide and Jetfire, were cons (or would become cons) and no one had nitros or rocket fuel so its fair.
I like to think that Blurr was just messing around to later take the lead at the last minute in a way of a show, but ended up getting stuck in that massive pile up
I feel it’s not talked enough just how grateful I am as a fan to see ACTUAL names of Transformers in that leaderboard and in the background cuz they could’ve EASILY made nobody background characters but they didn’t and it made the world feel so much more ALIVE

It's my headcanon that Jazz was a racer who was demoted for some reason like Elita-1 and B-127 became demoted. That would explain why he had a real name. I also pretend that his designation was JA-22 before taking his name.
I really wish this movie was longer i know they probably didn’t want to risk it but MAN just give me more characters and their interactions. It would’ve been nice to get like a post game interview from Chromia and then show the other racers in the “locker room” or something similar
@@princekeiii that would’ve been awesome, but I understand why they didn’t do it in this one considering it’s just the origin focused on our primary two characters. I totally expect the sequel to focus on a bunch more of the characters and their interactions.
@@theonlysaj yeah the sequel should ATLEAST be like 2 hours and 15 minutes long just so they can fully explore all the ideas they have. We didn’t even get to explore cybertron in this movie fr fr. We only saw a tiny bit of Iaacon, maybe Megatron will great Kaon on his own with the Decepticons
I really like that the leaderboard had the bots' color schemes shown. That way, for example, we know that Jolt is supposed to be an import of ROTF Jolt (as opposed to the blazing pink G2 Jolt) and Tankor is based on BM Tankor (instead of being the placeholder name for Octane or something). Edit: Also, Jetstorm being blue/yellow with an aerial alt mode means he's based on BM Jetstorm instead of G2.
even though the winner was named chromia, from what the youtuber TJOmega said, the character was actually Mirage but given the name Chromia for some reason
You know, I was going to mention that, but I just assumed it had to not be mirage because there’s definitely a cog less minor that appears multiple times in scenes that looks just like him, but I guess it’s not
Hotrod wasn't born yet. He was just a kid in the 86 movie. No one would keep calling him a lad of he was just as old as Optimus, Jazz, and al the other characters.
Kinda sucks seeing override and windblade on the leaderboard as it means the colony worlds are probably off the table. I'm just going to blank them out of my mind and head cannon the colony worlds in (they where cut off when the primes destroyed the space bridge network to stop the quintisons from attacking them)
This is a different continuity after all so maybe the space bridges never got cut off? I mean it's most commonly cut off, but it could just not be in this. Unless I missed that in the movie, in which case that does suck.
@@MelonHere20 I don't recall any mention of a spacebridge or other planets, all I saw was override and windblade's names meaning the idea to incorporate caminus and velositron wasn't on the minds of the team behind it. Also I don't think the quintisons would allow the Cybertronians to possess a spacebridge while there concerned.
Hmmm. I noticed a number of parallels between the movies Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and Transformers One. The most obvious ones are the characters with counterparts from the other: Noa = Orion Pax/Optimus Prime Raka the Orangutan = Alpha Trion Mae = Elita-1 Proximus Caesar = Sentinel Prime The Miners met Alpha Trion in a cave with open top as where Noa and Mae met Raka. Both Raka and Alpha Trion are full of wisdom, gave Noa and OP advices on how to accomplish their respective goals 😀😀😀😀
Road Rocket actually appers on screen. I think the blue and red bot that jumps over a crashed racer is actually road rocket with swapped around colors. Reasons 1: Color scheme for road rocket on the leader board has blue as her primary and red as her secondary. 2. Same alternate mode as road rocket being a bike 3.Looks to be built off elitas model as her legs share the same 2 disks on her inner thigh with her back kibble 4:After she jumps to avoid the crashed racer you see her name go up on the leaderboard 5: dose appear again in the film during preperation for the final broadcast and dosent have her faceplate or visor face is female 6:seen behind red bot after the reveal. during the same scene you see dragstrips robot mode aswell.
Once this movie hits digital release or Paramount Plus, I'm going to pause at so many points in the race sequence. This video shows the list on the score board, but we should check out what alt modes are visibly present. Also Blurr should have won.
Actually going by the color code on the Leaderboard for Tankor seems to indicate the Beast Machines one. Mirage is weird because he has two different color codes, when he is in 1st place its Purple, White and Red and that is good match for TF Energon Mirage (sometimes going by Tidal Wave) but when he is in 5th place he has the G1 colors but a bot that looks very much like him also later appears without a T-Cog (seen when Orion punches Darkwing) with ROTB color scheme possibly indicating two Mirage's if the 1st place color code was a mistake if not then their are 3 Mirage's though the formally T-Cog less miner probably had a different name.
If you look at the symbol next to jetstorms name, you'll see that it's an aircraft and not a car, which i think means that the movies jetstorm isnt based off of g1 jetstorm
Hopefully for Hotrod it isn't like TFS Animated where he was already an established bot missing out on the young punk stage of his development. I always thought of him as a bot of the next generation, going online pretty recently, but I suppose you could have him be a Lightning Macqueen kinda character if that's an apt comparison.
As much as I do like bumblebee from the transformers I am kind of sort of sick and tired of seeing him only because there are other transformers that I felt the movie could have had as a side character. Prowl Blue streak sunstreaker blaster jazz. Jazz would have been great we haven't seen jazz in a hot minute
And it's weird that characters like Hot Rod, Mirage, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Chromia, Skyfire, Airealbots, Inferno, Powerglide, Windblade, Tailgate and Override have cogs before characters like Orion, Megatronus ( D-16 ) and Ariel ( Elita-1 ).
Kinda odd see vehicons i the movie but Jetstorm and Tankor are mentioned and arent shown. Also missed oppurtunity to throw in Hotshot sadly. Loved the movie still, cant wait for the second
I remember getting so hyped when i saw Tailgate on the leaderboard, i was with a friend and i started pointing at the screen lol BUT SOMEHOW I DIDN'T NOTICE SWINDLE??? I love Swindle, I would've loved to see him😭😭 Also that definitely had to have been Breakdown there (who I was actually really hoping to see)
I definitely would like to see an art page with all of the racers in it, even if its just the vehicle modes. I loved Chromia sliding on her knees and yelling into the camera at the end, it made me think of a funny edit someone did of a soccer player sliding on to his knees and then shooting lasers out of his eyes
I love that they did the Alt-mode "icon" next to the names too. With the primary color scheme and the Icons, very much harkens back to the War For/Fall Of Cybertron Games Multiplayer modes. Would be awesome to have a Mario Kart style tie-in racing game......
I recognized a lot of names that I could see like Mirage, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Jetstorm, Deadend, Motormaster, Tailgate & Inferno & Silverbolt & Slingshot also Override. I some how missed Hot Rod who os my favorite character 😂. I hope he appears in the next movie.
Interesting that Override and Windblade are here as that means they're probably not colonists from Velocitron and Caminus respectively but are native Cybertronians.
Everybody be talking about the score board, yet no one talks about the reference with the score board itself. It's clearly a reference to the Cybertron games. The vehicle, the color, even the weird healthbar. (Idk what the healthbar means here and I've watched the movie 2 times help pls)
3:00 - *Jetfire* was the original name - it was changed at the last minute in the cartoon. The original Jetfire toy was a Macross Valkyrie, and that was going to be his name for the cartoon. But Harmony Gold, licensed most of Macross toys. With the Macross toys and cartoon being rebranded as Robotech, Harmony Gold filed started a legal action to reclaim the figure's likeness for their own line. This raised potential legal issues so the decision was made to radically alter the cartoon character's model and name so that they could try and claim that it was distinct. This is also why Jetfire/Skyfire did not appear in very many episodes. However, The toy was issued under the name Jetfire and Marvel Comics used the name of the toy.
Technically they did a toy pack where there are Oprion Pax, D-16 and Mirage. Mirage as also its robot design on the box. Unlucky they toy is a retool of RID 2015 Blurr with different head and paint job. I heard that early in production of the movie they planned to make Mirage the winner of Aiacon 5000 instead of Chromia. I think thar Mirage is the car that we see crashing at the last corner of the race and drop the pipe that hurts D-16.
I’ve already seen this movie twice and I already want to go see it a third time. I even brought 2 people who were not Transformers fans with me the second time and they both loved it. I really hope this movie gets the chance to have a sequel made, it absolutely deserves it. It’s very disheartening to hear how bad the viewership for this movie had been, but it’s absolutely the fault of the trailers and marketing, they did not do it justice. I’m hoping this movie has a big turnaround after news spreads of how good it is. But either way I’m gonna keep watching this movie as much as I can and I’ll absolute be buying a lot of merchandise from it to help boost the numbers as much as I can.
Like you I was trying my hardest to recognize as many TFs in the movie and not just the Iacon 5000. I also tried my hardest whenever they did a large showing of the miners. One thing that they never clarified, to my knowledge, is who they picked to be "miners" and who was spared by having their cogs left inside. The 50 cycles, which most likely is 50 years, bothered me because it seems such a short time within the life of a Cybertronian.
Hot damn! I just realized that Jetstorm has his Beast Machine colors, same as tankor. I wouldhave loved to see vehicon thrust just to complete the trio. Also, I would have loved to see Wasp.
transformers one is everyone is here but in transformers style all the favorites and forgotten characters is in this movie even some of the diaclone characters are in the movie
actually its pretty lame, you dont see any of these characters, they're just all generic racers, but throwing some names up on a screen seems to get some people excited
How in the world MotorMaster was able to be in 4° place in a race? I mean he is a semi truck He has turbo yes but he was able to pass Mirage and Hotrod the Autobots what can transform in the fastest cars MotorMaster is not kidding
This is the first I've seen windblade and tankor were on the roster. Would've loved to see them on screen. One character in surprised i didn't see win was override. Pretty sure i saw her in the race further ahead than she was shown
It might not be the same Cliffjumper. TF characters reuse names just like in real life there are multiple Steves. Poor Steve... The G1 Aerialbots and Stunticons were probably named after these great Cybertronian racers as well, since they weren't "born" until the 1980s. That would make at least 3 Transformers characters named Silverbolt. How do they even keep each other straight?
This is a new continuity. It is not a prequel to the G1 cartoon. The Aerialbots and Stunticons existing on Cybertron in the past is a sign that none of them are later going to be born on Earth because they already exist.
I think thats not the real cliffjumper but just another robot. Because Spoiler! At the end of the movie we see how every transformer gets its Transformation cog and we see cliffjumber get his one too. So he couldn't have had one before
