Thank you for your video. But I just learned an easier method. No disrespect intended. You are always helpful and this post is intended to help you. 1) Scratch the item on your test slate. 2) Use a drop of 18K test...a weak Aqua Regia. The streak will dissolve into that drop rapidly. 3) Take a clean cotton swab and soak up the drop. 4) take a drop of Stannous Chloride and drop it on the swab. The color change indicates Gold present. No color change means that there is no Gold present. Thanks to streetps and his recently posted video.
