Hey sikey I think you need to mention the clown holding dash at the chair aswell once they do that hunters like Skywalker has done this aswell and it will bleed past 50 but to be fair you adressed it with the gamekeeper one it's the same way imo (for any standard rescue ofc) but aside from that amazing guide man I'm trying to share with as many people as I know so they can like comment thoughts and subscribe!
This is the second time I see this being brought up so I will pin this. Yes, clown dash terror shock is the same exact thing as gamekeeper hook: Its just luck and the best you can do is bait the hunter in different ways. If youre confused how to do this, imagine the gamekeeper section is replaced with the words "clown" and "hook" is "dash". Thank you for supporting me overthrown 😄 does this mean were friends now?
@@SikeyYT I never hated ya to begin with,Always thought of ya as a good player with lots of game sense and I hope everyone gets to see this video I’m for sure everyone will learn from this and immediately get better with practice,You’re a great teacher and RU-vidr!❤️
another tip for rescuing from wu chang: when he has full presence, theres a trick he can use to make rescuing impossible. when wu chairs someone they will switch to black guard. and when they see you coming for rescue they will wait for you to get closer then switch to white guard, which will cause you to get affected by his ability immediately, and you will no longer be able to see the chaired survivor, making rescue impossible for a few seconds and you will be wu's new target. the ability has a huge range from what i have seen, so the best option is to rescue as soon as possible. if wu just changed to black guard he will have a long cooldown so you can just rescue and go. if he is already in white form, sadly i dont think you can avoid the ability since it takes just one second to trigger, unless you rescue during the ability animation. best you can do is not get hit and maybe just run far away from the chair so he has to stop chasing to continue camping the chaired survivor. im not the best idv player for sure, but this is what i have seen so far by playing both as and against wu chang. hope it help someone atleast, because i use this trick a lot and it usually works smoothly
13:50 on behalf of the council of photomakns I thank you for this information haha you are helping us establish our presence as the best hunter it’s best to not get hit by us becuase you won’t be able to heal unless there’s a doc on the team best bet is to cipher rush us
ok in some cases hunters are typically tricky: (not only when you are wanted) Hell ember: he would put both a puppet and be ready for 2 fires (usually) OR they use the red doll and put it right next to you and seem to go away, then transfer back and make terror shock. Smiley face: When he is raising the rocket right next to you (but usually they would use rocket once and hit you another time so you cure extremely slow if you are naib) Gamekeeper: When he got chance to use the hook twice without stop (like hook once but no hit then hook another time)(kill naib at the underground) Ripper: Stay aside to hit you once (ability so no stops for another hit) and follow you and give you another hit
The hell ember one is the only tricky one. Clown its possible to take a dash hit, rescue, and elbow pad away in time before he can swing at you again. With gamekeeper you need to count his presence and if hes at 4.5 hits, that means his next hook will add 0.5 to the total and give him another hook at no cooldown, so you must do a little math, and if he can get no cooldown hook, then you cannot rescue (dont even try it, youll just die) Ripper you can also elbow pad away fast enough after a foggy blade hit because he takes a while to swing his next hit as long as you spam rescue immediately after the hit. I must be honest though, the clown and ripper scenarios require thousands of battles before you can perform it consistently like I can since its all down to knowing exactly when youll finish rescuing so you dont waste a single second using the elbow pad without also accidentally not rescuing the person completely.
Great video, my only concern is that most of these tips require a Mercenary. Which is situation.. By that i mean when you were saying to Elbow Pad away or from the chair..
If I were to show you every single rescue character this video would be over an hour long. The point is not what I use to get there, its HOW I get there, meaning you can do the same thing with items like shovels and footballs. I believe I said somewhere in here that you can do these tips with every rescue character because their items will do the same job. However, as the maker of this guide its my job to show you the best and most optimal way of rescuing as possible so you know what to replicate with other rescuers.
there are still a lot of parts that are unclear to me, and I still have some other questions (basement rescues, camping, rescuing at half-health, situations where you can't hide) but what I got from this video was basically: >familiarize yourself with all hunters' abilities >don't rescue too early >bait/tank hit then rescue >body block >...? correct me if I'm wrong :( I main mechanic but most of the time all my teammates go down in 2 minutes so I just bring tide and pray I get lucky
I have a lot of trouble rescuing against Ann as a Andrew main, so ill keep in mind to try this sometime ! I also have a lot of trouble rescuing against Wu chang and Bon Bon.
I used to be a cord main seasons 1-7. It was the only thing I played back when she was S tier. If that penguin is bothering you with bombs, my best advice is shoot right away
@@SikeyYT Thank you for the really nice guide too, I have especially learned how to rescue against violinists and sculptors better than before ( though it's still difficult for me now) :(
Tbh the feaster one doesn't really work when he has his full presence because he will usually go for a triple hit and it's harder to dodge the tentacles because he usually be putting more than one tentacle so u can't really circle around it because he will use the other tentacle to hit you plus he can hit you with his tentacles from afar
As said in the video, Hastur has a very short animation when he throws the tentacle. My strat with a max presence Hastur is to wait for the tentacle to hit me and then rescue immediately. He can still hit you with the other tentacles after you rescue, though, so hopefully you carry Tide lol
Well of course theres gonna be more than 1 tentacle at that point. Thats why I say to tank a tentacle, spam rescue, and as soon as you can you need to elbow pad away. With 2 years experience of rescuing like me, youll know the exact speed of rescuing from muscle memory and always elbow pad away in time before the second tentacle lands
Its good in case ciphers are primed, someones on chair, and the only person who can rescue is a nonrescue character, so being equipped with proper knowledge to rescue is still very valuable.
I made him touch me with his basic attack hit. Although it's a strategy, it's not one I'd recommend you rely on since the hunter could walk away outside the hit zone.
Hello Sikey, i have a small question when rescue Painter. Should i rescue him early or wait until 70% then rescue ? I have counter quite of a problem because i was confuse about the timing
Many of us need a guide about how to be rescued bc one time you are chaired if someone rescues you, the Hunter hits you and chair you again (even with TT) so fast that some time my biggest aport in match is spam "dont rescue me"
Dont worry, that happens very often. The point of tide turner is to let you be hit to buy your team more time to decode the last cipher because no ones betting youre gonna get off that chair for more than 20 seconds, its very unlikely. Thats why you need a 3 cipher kite early game so that chair time + tide + 2nd chair time will result in the last 2 being popped. If theyre not ready, then its not a good idea to rescue in that case
ahaha in that case stay far for the time being since hunter still wants to stay close to chair and use walls to your advantage since hunter must go all the way around it and you can see their movements near the chair. Its only a 33% chance anyway.
"no matter who you´re playing as...in general these tips will apply to most survivors" *"ellbow pad away"* *"ellbow pad away"* *"ellbow pad away"* (this is a joke, ik that merc and gk/other rescuers have advantages and that Sikey said that lol)
"good reflexes" more like green ping amirite :') i main merc but my ping gets super bad near hunters especially and ive been struggling to rescue these days,,, then whenever im on chair (which is quite often because pinggg) my ping jumps back to green and i just have perfect ping, sitting there and watching the hunter circle me,,,
Im sorry im probably that survivor. Tho this is why I always spam 'Dont rescue me' cuz I have that rocket slower persona and its better to just focus decoding specially since hunters often just camp the chair
it's funny how he adress Joker as clown and Violetta as spider and the guards as black/white Wu Chang, I smell favourites hehe okay it's just a lot of names ik ik
Here’s a tip from a Guard main Sometimes, we try to hit you wiht bombs twice and then we hit to knock you down, make sure to save after you’re hit by the first bomb or else you’ll end up dead 😂 (This is easy to do as merc and GK or you can play as First Officer and quickly sneak to the chair)
That's a great idea. I'm gonna do that this next Saturday. Its really only realistically possible with merc, grave, priestess, and other survivors that tank hits like perfumer. The plan is to prioritize merc and show the best digging spot for every basement as grave
SIikey, you and I maybe have our own problems but no matter what I give credit where it's due, befor even watching this video I know its going to be the best rescue guide on our NA/EU server, will be very knowledge and full with detail and has been worked very hard for, congrats for finaly releasing it, it will stand as one of our server's best rescuer's Guide.
With ripper, if you know you can't avoid getting hit, HUG HIM! it sounds strange but if you get his hand to hit you instead of the foggy blade, he will get his normal hit cooldown instead of the quick foggy blade cooldown. Ofc you should still rescue quickly, but you just get that half second longer to run.
YES! That is something I've noticed too. If you are in the open and you feel you cannot avoid the foggy blade, just stay glued to him and around the chair.
This guide is really good As a bonbon main - no offence but you didn’t mention how to avoid bomb chains if the bonbon does get eyes on you early. Also the situation of a merc vs a bonbon is only possible (for me) on small maps which is where I’d ban mechanic. But a little tip for anyone wanting to counter the chain bombs is that if the bonbon doesn’t have eyes on you they will assume you are equi-distance between two ends of the crosses which is where we will predict our chain. Survivors are very predictable in this aspect and we can get the bomb hit 60% of the time - so if you make your movement unpredictable then you can counter this quite easily just stand slightly to the left or right of the first bomb placed (provided bonbon doesn’t have eyes on you) Sorry for rambling lol it’s just a lot of people don’t know how to do this and I can stuff saves without looking at the survivor (two survs going for the rescue) because their movements are too predictable
Sounds to me like the consensus is be unpredictable which should be like an auto tip, but its still a goof tip. And I think at the start of this video I said in order to do any rescue against any hunter you cant get seen from far.
@@SikeyYT yea fair enough - although my tip applies when kiting as well so I guess it’s more of a general thing it’s just a lot of people panic against bonbon and then die and call him no skill etc.
I think it’s important to say that some hell ember mains will wait until you’re right at the chair and then place a phantom. Most players try to rush and easily get terror shocked. Additionally, hell ember can attack while switching with his red puppet, allowing for another easy terror shock.
I see Stinkey 👀 thank you for the video uwu finally you upload this!! This is very helpful! and that last words too, HAHA. "I hope you do better rescue in rank match" ok 😭👌👌👌
@@akhrea2314 Oh about the clown terror shock thing, its the same as gamekeeper hook. Its just a guessing game. Try to do the same thing to bait the dash as with hook but otherwise youre just hoping to get it out
Ahh thank you so much for this guide, as someone who’s somewhat of a rescue main (I mainly play merc in rank because my rank group no one rlly plays rescue haha), this is really helpful and useful and I hope my rescue skills can improve ❤️
When I’m rescuing someone, I also try my best to give them a chance to survive and find the nearest pallet or vault by blocking a hit or harass the hunter ‘till then. If you were to just save the person and let them immediately die, what’s the point? It sacrifices precious cipher progression you could be making in the meantime and on most cases, a health state in return of only a few seconds.
If youre merc, you just elbow pad down the stairs. If youre a REALLY good merc, youll elbow pad down and even do the turn halfway thru the elbow pad. Do the same coming out and if youre anyone else u have to avoid the no hit recovery when entering basement but its almost certain someone will get hit with no recovery when exitting
With most hunters there really isnt anything in their power even if they know the methods. If youre a hunter main, the survivor either knows or doesnt know, and if they do know, youll eventually be familiar with the tactic. It still wont be easily counterable, thats why i suggest something for every hunter in the first place, but atleast you can somewhat predict it better. Really its more of the survivor's problem to know how to rescue better and the vid helps them get a strat that works more reliably than whatever they were using before
Great video, and this is my own tips for hunter to counter these trick. Note that these are from my own experience as a Sabertooth and i will exclude Wanted order and assume every rescuer have tide. Teaming up is not an option here. (hope i get pinned) Hell ember: Energy is your most valuable resources. Try to save them and even start farming if necessary, and most people confuse the use for Bot and Puppet. Bot are used for hitting the chaired sur after a success rescue since it has delay but smarter and bot is more versatile because it is fast, can patrol although pretty stupid. Be creative, you don't actually have to camp, and Red puppet is better since you can did the extra hit trick. Clown: underated, just start spamming your repair to max out potential. If you spot survivor just start holding your rocket and camp. Not much to say since clown is very scary to me. Ripper: choose the chair which surrounded by walls if possible and abuse your fog blade. Also you can counter body blocking with it. Soul weaver: you don't actually have to save you web after you chair someone, just abuse it and increase your webbing area so even the toughest mercenary hesitate. Also abuse you web shoot by store and spam it along with the web around to do a double hit or limiting the tide turner effect potential. Geisha: one trick with geisha is that your flying upward doesn't have cooldown, so just spam it and eventually survivor will rescue in panic resulting in terror shock or you can hit the rescuer and immediately dash toward the chair one without any blade wiping animation. Same trick with hell ember. Photoboi: after chairing, immediately go for a cam to trigger some nerve of those rescuer. You don't have to camp since you can jump with the spinny card. Rescuer won't risk rescuing the shadow since it will trigger their tide turner. And photoboi is more of a pressuring type than a pursuit one. Gamekeeper: if you can hook the rescuer and down them that's great, but if you can't. Just make them waste time by holding the hook, then use it on the chaired survivor instead. You can also spam it on the nearby wall and disrupt the rescuing. White wu chang: try your best to spot incoming rescuer and use the sinphoning soul to stop them, or bait them with your umbrella then tele on that same spot to switch form and depend on the form you change to you can still disrupt the rescuing no matter what. Black wu chang: try your best to switch form and bell one time, wait for them to start rescuing then bell another time, because until they hit the calibration, they won't be able to interact, after two unsuccessful rescue attemp they will panic and easily get terror shock. Axe boy: don't drop a tree immediately but move around so that there is a litte bit of unclaimed spot in the rocket chair, which slow down the rescuer no matter where they come from. Penguin boi: don't drop all of your 40s bombs on the same spot, spread them over a large area, make sure they don't connect in order to execute the OHKO trick better. Lizard boi: i don't play him sorry 😓😓 Disciple: abuse your cat, not much to say. Bloody Queen: you can legally face camp since your skill is like that. Hentai-boi: again, spread your tentacle over a large area instead of a spot. Mad eye: he is best in isolating the survivor so you don't actually have to block the rescuer, just my opinion. Meme witch: not much to say, i mean if you can play her why do you need my advice? Sculpture: she is so hard to play, i dislike her playstyle. Sorry for my broken english and long comment
Depending on the hunter, if you rescue too early you're not giving a chance to the others to decode more. When someone gets chaired at 5 ciphers they either let them die or rescue late so they have some time to decode (even tho I think letting someone die is not a guaranteed win or draw)
I'm late, but an additional tip for a Violinist that is bent on stringing you before you can rescue is to just get in their face. Hunter-wise I main Violinist and we cannot land a hit with the string if you're right in our face. I use this when playing survivor and they can only resort to a normal attack.
Also I feel like it's important to mention that you SHOULD NOT pop the last cipher after someone is hit with tide from photo. The damage will transfer and you'll be knocked down even if he doesn't hit you after the pop once the tide wears off. In that situation, either pop cipher right after rescue gets hit or as soon as tide wears off
