I’d say it depends on the surface you’re walking on as well. Our feet weren’t designed to constantly walk on perfectly flat, incredibly hard floors either. Minimalist shoes have made many people’s symptoms/posture worse for this reason. It’s best to experiment with them on dirt nature trails and such to see how you feel

Agree with you about this stuff! My mom breast fed my older sister for a little bit and my sister has a more foreword shaped face. Whereas my Mom didn’t breastfeed me at all and I have a flatter face. My sister had a nice wide upper palate with a huge gap between her front teeth. They all came in nice and straight with no need for braces. Since I didn’t learn the proper way to suckle, I ended up with a very narrow palate which resulted in overcrowding of my teeth and needing braces. I saw a few mewing videos for the first time a couple of years ago. I didn’t do it because I thought I was too old. But a few months ago, I watched a video by Dr. John Mew. He explained that the bones in the face weren’t fixed in place until a person is in their 70s. So I decided to try it out and keep it up. But I really had a hard time since my upper palate was so narrow and I felt like my tongue was too big. I thought why not gently push my thumb up on my palate. So on a few days a week and a few times a day (usually after washing my hands), I have been doing this and it worked! I now have room for my tongue up there. I also can tell that my teeth aren’t as crowded because it is easier to floss. And I am in my mid 50s! I do think it’s a crime what these companies promote for profit. My Mom said women were pressured into using formula rather than breastfeeding their babies. I was allergic to the formula and had to drink soy milk. I really doubt if I would have been allergic to my own mother’s breast milk. Anyway, I do find the way mewing changes the bones of the face fascinating!

Damn, I was a thumb sucker in my childhood and looking back on my photos, I was such a pretty child with a cute upturned nose and forward growth. I also got bunny teeth from it tho and the greedy dentist sent me to the orthodontist were the deed was done. Braces, one premolar tooth removed and later on in at 20 the same dentist extracted 4 wisdom teeth despite having no complication but it was on my orthodontist plan. I actually was supposed to only extract 3 according to my orthodontist due to one missing premolar. But that greedy dentist still took the fourth and now I have not enough teeth to chew on my left side. Fortunately I don‘t have a dropped side profile but my asymmetry is wild due to my damaged left side. Now I can only pray on my mewing. Hope you can improve your face with thumb pressing my friend.

Interesting video, interested on the "science" behind it. All my children were home births, breastfed and majority of the foods they eat is grown/raised on our property. All were born with tongue ties, that were corrected by the time they finished breastfeeding. My older children have not had issues with their wisdom teeth coming in. They all spoke early and had a complex dialect, because we spoke to them like a person and not in the cooing baby dialect. Mankind was able to reproduce and survive long before "science" and the industrial and tech revolutions. My POV is, mankind needs to cast aside most of it's modernization and return to their more primitive roots.
@nevin8604
@nevin8604 4 месяца назад
Its not modernizing thats problematic, its the fact that all of our inventions are designed to make us lazier and lazier. We have cars now, no one even walks to the store, we have soft foods, we boil the steak to the point where we complain if its a bit hard to chew, we don't like to stand and are always in bed or chair. Laziness=ugly.
@AG-uj1cp
@AG-uj1cp Год назад
The primary issue with all of these symptoms of modernity, is that you will never convince the populace to go back. It's just not going to happen. But what we can do, is spread awareness and optimize our soft 21st century lives.

I was breastfed as a baby. I had 6 teeth removed for my orthodontic treatment because I inherited a week lower jaw from my fathers side. Would functional appliances in my childhood made my jaw big enough to accommodate all my teeth? Possibly. Do I miss these teeth? Not really. I don’t snore and the remaining teeth are big and now straight. I’m glad there are different ways to correct minor deficiencies at any age🤗

@@TimReynard-p8k Because unfortunately most of the loss in bone mass is in the first year. Around 50% of your alveolar bone is already gone. I think the only way to prevent is to get implants / fake teeth of some sort put in to where the wisdom teeth were to "trick" the jaw. I'm not an expert though so you should do your own research.

@@LegendaryWizardPS You can't get implants for wisdom teeth anyway. So once they are removed there is nothing you can do to replace them. Look at Ron though, he still has managed to achieve a good result with 8 teeth removed. It just means it's harder for you.
