IDLES celebrated their first number 1 album Ultra Mono, with a special live session for Steve Lamacq in the BBC Radio Theatre for 6 Music. You can listen to the full session and interview on BBC Sounds: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000...
I was going to say "Where are the swear words?!?" then I was like "Oh yeah....BBC." *flashback of Zack De La Rocha screaming "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me." on air. *
The rawness of Rage against the machine with poetic vision of a Wordsworth on acid, in contrast to everything else these fearless men are a breath of fresh air and some may be intimidated by their catharsis expressionism but I for one welcome it with open arms and sink into it willingly. Hopefully I will be in Belfast on the thrith of June to witness the greatest band on the planet at this moment.
I just described them Rage Against the Machine if it were comprised of robots doing their best impression of The Clash. That’s not an insult or anything, these guys rip.
Hell yeah. Well done lads. Great new album. Can’t wait to see y’all live once the world isn’t dying. If not, let’s take shots at the bar in the afterlife
@@RataStuey The Fall were a law unto themselves. In fact until Idles came along I would have said no one sounds like The Fall. It's the whole sound and even approach as opposed to any song but Idles are that bit more 'muscular' and maybe 'harder', if that makes any sense??? Maybe try 'Hey Student' or 'I am Damo Suzuki' but there are countless other examples you could just try at random. See if you like them?
Does anyone regret that unfortunate microphone? He's in his mouth almost all the way through the concert. You could already have so much saliva in it, wonder it's still working
@@paulaustin7940 that was my point!!!They are NOT a Punk Band, they are middle class boys pretending to be punk!!!!!If you want to listen to Punk, listen to Sleaford Mods !!!
