idris elba should voice more characters in games. His acting and all basically like british version of keith david,he's just great in almost every roles.
need more actors of this calibre in video games for sure. This game proved that it does indeed increase the player base and hype around the game as well/
I was genuinely impressed by his performance as Reed. Elba put so much sincerity into that roll that at times I’d almost think it’s a real person while I was speaking with him as V. CDPR knocked it out of the park with Phantom Liberty and put Cyberpunk back on the map as a result. They went from PR disaster to earning enormous profits and praise. Amazing and almost completely unheard of. Most developers would’ve just let their game rot had they received such backlash, but they did the opposite and doubled down their passion for their work, with a genuine desire to redeem themselves and it’s their player base and it proved to be the greatest comeback in video game history. Cyberpunk is my favorite game of all time and after experiencing Phantom Liberty I’m incredibly excited to see what’s in store from them in the future.
Idris is a badass, and I love his work. One thing I do seem to notice though is that he doesn't really feel these interviews. You get some stars where they will take a question, and they will passionately explore it and you can tell they enjoy being able to talk about it. Idris seems more like the kind of guy who does a job, does it well, and the media tour just isn't for him. It can be frustrating as a fan, because I want the actor to be as in love with the project and talking about it as I am. But that's just not how things go all the time. Idris was an absolute highlight of this expansion. Every time he was on screen, I wanted to hear what he had to say, and I felt like this character was perfect for his brand of reserved and dutiful character history.
I think he's under orders not to spoil anything so that practically makes it hard to talk about. He can't actually talk about anything his character does or his backstory, so he has to talk about everything in vague terms which is hard to get excited about
Two legends, one interview....amazing work and fantastic questions for Idris from Henry, great to see and learn how idris approached his character in Phantom Liberty nd his approach to acting overall, awesome interview.
I think phantom liberty would have been a great movie especially if he was casted to play Reed. Would be a blockbuster even if someone doesn’t know what cyberpunk is.
This was my first time hearing his voice, and after playing through PL, I was definitely not expecting a British accent. Is this just part of the skills of a voice actor, or is the American accent just that easy to emulate?
Skills, iirc, American accents aren't actually that easy to do well for actors. He's been in a TON of American productions and has had decades of experience
Hi. Can anyone or someone tell me why this short movies for Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty game they not appear in game like that with So Mi (Songbird), Dogtown, and female V on start with Johnny Silverhand on that AV or that part where again female V appear on background when we launch Cyberpunk game?
He is an American character in the game. Wish he had done a Southerner accent like he did in that Taraji Hensen thriller where he was an escaped convict from Georgia or Alabama. If not that he should have done his natural British accent. It's sooooo cool!

Being a secret agent for the New United States the British accent would have been a weird choice but I agree his native accent is awesome!
Just finished Phantom Liberty and what an awesome story and gameplay. It made me come back to play CP2077 and enjoy Night City again. The music, story and characters were so well done. The finale hit hard when I finished PL and got different endings.
i saw a trailer where we can see how reed was betrayed and how the plane was shot where so mi and the president was in. do we see that ingame? did u see that ingame? iam at the black tower (hanson tower) where i have to meet so mi.
He's a great actor, and was equally great in PL, shame we won't get more of his character (or any character) in Cyberpunk. Unless CDPR makes the sequel happen directly after the events of the first.
do you think theres any way for idris to have known that these games are developed on the worlds best pc's then released to the public that owns 3060's?
I'm playing it now. It's the second time, since I've already completed the original game. But this time on PS5, so it's great, because it feels like a new experience with all the updates. What's even greater is the fact that I can use my edited save games from PS4 to the PS5! So awesome!
its obvious a lot of hard work was put into this game, glad Idris was up to the task he absolutely killed it, stole the show. also props to the interviewer he did a fantastic job lots of good q's
That'd actually be a sick Cyberpunk Red campaign, I'll look up the status of the FIA and other intelligence agencies, maybe there's an interesting story to be told about the 4th Corp War
@@ThisUsernameSystemF-ckingSucks...wait what? How does an account being made then mean they're thirty? My account is from 2008 and I've been using RU-vid before that, and I'm in my early 20s.
