Well done doctor . Kindly give us updates on CLSI GUIDELINES on ESBL/ Amp C and CRE FOR laboratory use in practical fashion. Clinicians expect to deem other 3GC’s antibiotics resistant when automated machines give ESBL PRODUCEr among enterobacterales. Help us understand the current thinking please.

Based on version 2 of guidance. The laboratory needs to be able to detect AmpC. Kindly describe the method of detection for practice use in the lab.

How about Lyme disease which is a resistant OspA bacteria. What causes borrelia to be a resistant bacteria. It's not antibiotics. There are other things within the lyme borrellia causing resistance.
