Never knew that the Win's name was revived in 2010 until now. Win's Movie & Television Production Ltd only produced two films, according to the Audiovisual Identity Database.
My pleasure to answer that. In simple terms, Gala distributes Chinese films (mostly GH productions in the godd old days) while Panasia distributes foreign films. GH's cinema circuit is coined the term 嘉樂院線 (Gala Circuit in Chinese) since 1978. Panasia Films was founded in 1972 by Hungarian producer Andrew G. Vajna, who sold Panasia to GH in 1976 and formed Carolco, Cinergi and C2 Pictures of the Rambo / Terminator fame.
I was "copyright noticed" by a major studio in showing one of the HY Brothers ident, so I'd better pass and let someone interested to do it. Yes the new ident (much Lionsgate alike) can be seen in recent films like Jackie Chan's Chinese Zodiac aka CZ12, as well as Stephen Fung's Tai Chi Zero & Tai Chi Hero
What jewels, Dire, and a nice welcome home! BTW, about that Golden Gate logo at 3:17--I always thought the font that "GOLDEN GATE FILM CO. PRODUCTION" came in looked similar to the logo for the Golden Gate Casino in Las Vegas. Coincidence?
