The translation is so well done!! But as a chinese I do think there's a few things that were missed from either the english in the video itself and the translation done by the og. I did a little fun translation by myself in the goal to retain the ingeniousness from the actual chinese vr. while making sure it semi-rhymes and makes sense in english. This is by NO MEANS a disrespect to the og translation (it's really good actually), I just want to make sure some interesting things I saw wouldn't be missed. Tbh the og lyrics are so well done. Some lines have rhetorical resonance with each other in that the related characters have rhyming/matching lines. For example, painter, entomologist, violinist and sculptor, their lyrics together uses the four seasons; in chinese, all four of them have the same pattern (I couldn't properly retain it in english). For the last seven characters (starting form bloody queen), all their lyrics start from number 1 to 7. Since both antiquarian and Wu Chang are chinese, their lyrics together sound like a classic chinese poem. Several characters also make references off from each other by using the same word: e.g. Clerk and Forward both using the words "incentive", where forward says he retains it while Clerk says hers became twisted; perfumer and wax artist both refer to their "passed ones" while perfumer says the perfume reminds her of the passed one, the wax artist says that the passed one forever be preserved in wax. For seer and priestess, their lyrics have the same pattern. A lot of the wording also refer back to the terminology used in the game: the ending of "重逢", aka "reunion" coincide with "重逢之时" (Time of reunion), or that dream witch uses the word "dream" (in chinese) and that feaster referred to himself as "灾难" (calamity/catastrophe/etc), which reminds me of his newest S-tier skin "Lord or Calamity". overall I can't help but to make a comment about it! It honestly came as quite a shock to how much attention that was paid to this video (than their actual game lmao) 😂
