IELTS listening multiple choice questions with long sentences is very very difficult .. I am trying and practicing my level best .. but no improvement .. ☹️
Thank you for your time and the class was informative . In questions 1 and 2 , is C and A acceptable as the answer? Because of the order in which the question was asked.
Hi, Chris, I find your idea of taking notes is quite suitable for me as I am qualified stenographer taking notes @ 120 w.p.m. So I feel one should be rapid in taking down the notes accurately. For those who are slow in taking notes, its difficult i thought.
I'm scared ielts listenining now and i've never gotten a 6 band.Howeve,my ielts teacher revised me that i should get a high band in listening because you can gain your band in your purpose.what should i do.i was so exxhauted and wanna give up😢
Hi sir, Are we allowed to give option to the examiner in our ielts listening and reading test? For eg: if we are not sure the answer is plural or singular, can we write like: CAR(S) Thank you
Will I be given marks if I end up writing sensible synonyms in an ielts listening test.. for example if the answer is 'hard' and in meaning 'difficult' makes sense, will I loose mark for writing 'difficult' as an answer instead of 'hard'?
Sir Chris strategies are the most successful one's i have ever seen, was fan of his reading tips and now for listening note taking tricks, can't thank you enough Chris!
"It's all about tricks in the listening" - gap filling -> dont take notes - multiple choice -> taking notes highly recommended - always write CAPITAL letters (easier for examiners to read and understand)
I felt like your this session was comparatively easy then the one we are going to face in real exam. I have answered all the questions correctly. Thanks for your support. Hope to get more class on listening.
I’ve just recognized worried thing about gym. In my language and culture GYM means exactly and only “heavy athletics” - weightlifting. And FINTESS, overwise, means only “light athletics” where sportsmen lift up only their own weight. But here Chris said that GYM equals FITNESS. How many identical terms in our languages have different meanings?..
You're one of the few IELTS teachers who suggests taking notes while listening, and from my own experience it can make a big difference, particularly for multiple choice and matching questions which usually come with a lot of synonyms and distractions. Thanks for your helpful tips
I got 7...in my 1st attempt and it was the highest score among all 4 tests ...got surprised....becoz I found it really tricky...1 audio played fast...I followed Chris's strategy of making notes while I was quickly reading the booklet..it really works.
You are really a good speaker. Your pronunciation is so clear and it can be helpful for me. I always try to following you Through the watching video. The most important thing is that, you talking style is really impressive. Thank you.
Hello Chris, I have one inquiry about adding the letter "S" is it okay if we miss it? for example Tutor arrangements, but we wrote Tutor arrangement. Thank you in advance.
First of all 'tutor arrangement' or 'tutor arrangements' would never be an official answer in the test as it doesn't mean anything. Secondly, the question about 's', there is a little flexibility on some listening answers for singular and plural.
Hi Chris :) Great class as always! I was looking forward to learn your listening tips. Since you mentioned the difference between American and British spelling, I wonder if the IELTS examiner could mark us down if there is any inconsistency on the use between the two. I notice that sometimes I use both at the same time and I don't know if I should get worried with this.
Listening has been my achily's heel despite practice. Last time I got only 5.5 in this module and reappearing for a better score. Your videos are very helpful. Kinldly let me know the fee particulars for joining your Listening module classes. Your analytical skills are superb.
I want to thank Chris for the great job that he is doing here. Today I received my results and listening was 8,5. It is due to his videos that I achieved that score. Thanks once again and Merry Christmas 🎉🎉🎉
Hey Chris, I just wanted to let you know that I got my results on 11/17/21. I got an over all band 7.0 (S- 8.0,W-5.5, R-7.5,L-6.5) I am very thankful to your videos they've helped me improve even better in the speaking part. This was my first try and I am very thankful to you and Saskia.
Hi Chris.. I took my test today.. (20 Nov '21) Thought I would share the questions here... For speaking :- #Part 1:- • my name? •studying or doing a job? •more info about my job •what I like about my job? • will I continue doing it? #Part 2 Describe a cafe or a restaurant I visited recently •how was the place •with whom I went •why I choose that place •will I go there again #Part 3 •is the place I visited was a cafe or restaurant •what's the difference •do people prefer a cafe over a restaurant •do humans, in general, like to stay alone or get socialized •why would a person choose to be alone •is it good to be surrounded by strangers in a big city Phew...! 🥵 Writing:- ×Task 1 A table was given which shows the info on the water usage(in %) by 4 different countries ×Task 2 When employers choose the best person, personal qualities are given more importance than qualifications and experience. To what extent do you agree with this statement + examples PS :- as this was my first attempt, I was too much worried... I think I messed up with the part 3 questions in speaking. 2-3 times I went off-topic too... 😬 In task 1&2 writing...honestly, I don't have any idea 😐 I was able to manage the time but still worried about the TA, LR and CC...
Helloo...! My results are out.. L -7.0, R-7.5, W-6.5, S-7.0.. overall 7.0.... This is my first attempt and all the credit goes to Chris, Jackson and others in IELTS Daily and Asiya Miart in Fastrack IELTS....!!!😍
@@anoottii hi, congratulations on those are impressive scores and Yes! I totally agree that Sir Chris and others have helped alot of students in getting their desired results!
The best channel providing Ielts takers around the world. I am very grateful to IELTS Daily. Thank you so much for giving us golden tips. Keep up the good work🧡
I did my computer delivered test few months ago, there was no pieces of paper given to all categories, except the Speaking part 2. My first attempt for Ielts test done in Australia.
In the computed-based test, there isn't any time for transfering your sribble into the computer as the audio will continue to play, is this method still applicable? please answer thankyouu
There is a little time between sections but you're right, not the 10 minutes at the end. This method is useful for multiple choice questions when you just have to click a quick button.
Hi Chris, my exam is due on this 26 November, it's computer-based one. May I ask in listening section, they do provide a note for us to jot down some main points? Because I've looked it up on the simulating listening test on IDP website, but there's none so I'm really really scared. I hope that I can receive the response from you soon, or anyone TT
Hi Chris 😊. I took IELTS and my score was 6 at listening . I thought that it was very easy listening, I understood what says but my score could not tell me that .😔
Great tips and tricks. It's really very easy to get the correct answers this way. My only concern is what time would one use during the exam to search through the notes you've made to find the answers?
you are an amazing teacher thanks a million for your tips . could i ask ? if i take the paper base test when i compare my note to the long answer in the time between two sections or in the final 10 mints? thanks in advance
Pls as I mentioned earlier, I will do the listening this weekend, pls Abt the MCQs do u write d note n wait after d session b4 u use part of d 10mins transfer period to figure out the answer and then write them? Pls what's the strategy for Maps too
I thought that the word "any" only goes with plural nouns if it is in question/ negative sentences, not the positive one like" any health problems" in the text????
