#ielts #ieltsspeaking Let's study with @ieltsenglishacademy Today's video is IELTS Speaking Mock Test scored 7.0 with the commentary. 00:00 Part 1 03:50 Part 2 06:02 Part 3 07:32 Feedback
I think she definitely scored 7 bands because I did very badly in my speaking part but still scored 6.5 bands, and I think confidence is the most important thing in being able to express our thoughts and feelings.
I think it is a good example that providing slow and simple responses, while maintaining high standards in other areas, would be sufficient to achieve a band 7. How encouraging!
I'd appreciate if you could correct this sentence grammatically and semantically yes.changes boost our spirit and make us more vibrant .because our brain doesn't like repetitive thing and likes variety. without changes everything may seem tedious
Interesting to see at least, I got my results yesterday and I got 7.5 overall with 7.0 on speaking, and I'm sure I elaborated a lot more than her and did not hesitate so much with the answers nor I gave answers off the rail, but here idk is just simply notable how did she get away with that 2nd part, I mean i just don't want to sound rude she is doing very great, but comparing to other 7's in here and my own experience studying and preparing myself it just seems off, also if you read IELTS grading chart this seems to be a really generous score. Nice vid btw
To be honest, this kind of interview very suitable for a person like me whos still a beginner to learn and improve. The questions and the answers is easy to understand for me, although im feeling a little bit nerveous just by watching the content. 😄
Her pronunciation is nearly perfect whether it be word stress, sentence stress, connected speech, rhythm and intonation. In terms of grammar usage, even though she did not use a wide range of sentence structures or tenses, she only made a few grammatical mistakes. Her vocabulary is okay; she just needs to extend its range to achieve a higher score. What she really needs to work on is her fluency and coherence and extension of her vocabulary. I would rate her as below. Fluency and coherence: 6 Vocab: 6 Grammar and accuracy: 7 Pronunciation: 8 Overall: 6.75 and is rounded up to 7
The examiners for ielts in Korea are incredibly generous and nice to students. And they help people get a higher score than they ever have done. I don't know how other countries do but at least in Canada, they never wait for you to speak more and give the score higher than you perform. This girl would get 6 at best. I'm not sure but I think It's a lot easier to get high score taking this kind of exam in Korea than other.
True. Actually, I took the IELTS in Korea and got a score of 7.5. And after spending three months in Canada, I took the test again in Vancouver and got a score of 6.5, even though I thought my English would have improved slightly.
Guys, her pronunciation was nearly perfect. The vocab and ideas are not very good but 7 is fair. I got 6.5 last time and I did not do this good. Ofc the real test is less comfortable tough
Am gonna take my real test on 19th of November this year, and am scared to death at this moment. I hope I would have an interviewer like you since you seem so friendly and set a comfy-atmosphere in the room. Wish me luck! Thank u so much for this video, anyway. May God bless you, and send u a big heart from Indonesia.
Once again, feel the need to put a health warning on this channel's videos - in no way would this performance ever get a 7.0 - there are some nice natural elements to her speaking style at times but the examiner is so pro-active in forcing her to say more (not sure a real examiner would do so) and she just gets so hesitant and incomplete with her fluency that I would be happy with a 6.5 at the very most. The commenters here who are saying how much it's boosted their confidence have to be realistic about the channel owner's intentions and reasons for saying it's a Band 7.0.
It was solid 6 - 6.5, because band 7 is the C1-level already which is almost like a native speaker. But, in this case, there is still a huge gap between native speakers and this performance.
Even though most answers were a bit short & lack of information, we can easily see her fluency. And there is no hesitation for fear of speaking so it’s understandable she got 7. it was a close thing though
I think she played smartly.😏. She didn't prolonged her answer. She tried to speak to the point. The more you talk the more mistake you make and the more he gives feedback. So itbs great to get an average score
2:09 The answer was so short that the examiner had to ask her to elaborate her answer I think this should not be the case and examiner gave her advantage by reminding her to answer
it's a test, and when a person is under pressure it is natural to lose the words that they want to say. It's also natural to feel nervous, the people who judge these candidates must have the best level of English or They should, otherwise they should shut up.
I'd appreciate if you could correct this sentence grammatically and semantically.ones may not adapt themselves to the new environment so they may feel homesick and they cant tolerate the distance of their family and friends.
This is something even 10 year old kid can do...answers are so generally spoke without properly completing the sentence and going out of topic and no elaboration...This sounded more like a normal conversation not an IELTS exam
I'd appreciate if you could correct this sentence grammatically and semantically.the first step is to learn its language. Because all historical and traditional and cultural books of that country or culture is written in it's own language. In general language is the first step to enable us to get acquainted with the culture of a country
i am always having hard time to express myself even in my mother tongue. so when i get asked these types of questions i just freeze. I wonder if this is happening to anyone else? At Speaking part i got brain freezed by the questions i was asked , i couldn't even come up with any made up answers and failed very badly :)
The long pauses? Some off-topic answers? The examiner was encouraging her to speak, which is not really good. I don’t think she’s fluent enough. It’s 6 or 6.5
You can be off-topic , especially in part 2, where you have to speak 2 min long. It is about answering pretty much accordingly to the topic and then developing your speaking along with fluency and great control of intonation. That's what is important the most at the end of the day!
I think she should get less than 6.5 because she was always in a confused situation, and being hesitant to give an answer. Even though she finally came up with an answer, it was not vivid enough to attract people to keep listening to it; otherwise, I felt embarrassed and nervous when waiting for her thinking. it is a cruel comment but it's true I think.
It's maybe solid 4.5 analytically, Vocabularies Pronunciations etc... lol too overrated score he gave to the candidate. That not gonna get you scored like that much if you would perform like her lol this is just promoted motivation video. Consequently you will try it. *Thats not hate quote or anything just an Examiners are very depending even though it's recorded it is not perfectly give accurate results.
She has great communication but is unable to collaborate and keep talking instead she stops without giving a clear ending of sentences. She uses 'I think' a lot even if there is no need to do so.
Please don't be enlightened by watching this video that if you speak like that in a real IELTS test, you will secure band 7. It's no way near to a Band 7-level English-speaking. At best, she deserves a Band 6, no more or no less.
