- what is your favourite food? - it's lasagna - what about your favourite movie? - oh, it's about the origin of lasagna and how to prepare it - tell me about your best friend - his name is Luigi, he makes great lasagna :D:D:D
That 'lasagna method' reminds me of an old russian joke about a student that studied only one topic for his English exam, London. And when he got a topic 'my family' he went "My family lives in Moscow, we have never been to London. And London is the capital of Great Britain..."
You do remind me of a classmate of mine when I was still on secondary school. We had to write a lot of narrative compositions back then. Every time he wrote a composition, he simply used the same topic of, say, sports event. Every human being was capable of reading the beginning to know it must be his writing.
How to speak english fluently 👇 1 - use shadowing technique 2- talk to yourself , record yourself 3- read aloud 4- speak 1 on 1 5- sing a song out loud Do these 7 days regularly and consistently.
@@Jp-yp5mj Shadowing technique or speech shadowing means talking at the same time or just after you hear a native speaker talk. Basically, what you do is take an audio file of an English speaker and try to say the same things as her/him.
I am a teacher and the thing is that apart from getting some ideas from your videos, I simply LOVE listening to you - you've got such a friendly manner and your advice is so sensible that one doesn't want to stop learning with you- GREAT JOB!!!
The idea bank part is phenomenal. It makes you prepared for the spoken section almost 100 percent. It also works when you are giving a public speeches. Excellent!
Actually I want to say thank you for all your videos. I saw some of those, and few weeks ago I took the IELTS official exam. Fortunately, I got 7.0 score as overall score. Thank you for all your lesson, God bless you.
Thank you!! For the help and it really mean a lot. Teacher like you make my time worth being in internet!! A lots of fake channel out there!! But your channel i find helpful in real situation as in exam!! ***GUYS HE IS THE ONE YOU WANNA FOLLOW BECAUSE HE DOES HIS WORK BEST AND MAKE OUR PROBLEM EASIER TO DEAL***
Hey Adam, you are great!! I live in the US for the last 15 years and run my own business where I have to deal with different people on everyday basis, I still find so many new and useful things in your videos to improve my english that I never heard of, loove watching your videos and how you elaborate on each example!! Dear Mr. Adam, Thanks for all your videos on both channels. I just wanna tell you that thanks to you, Mr. James and other amazing Engvid teachers, I loved English so much that I've decided to shift my career from Nursing to studying English Literature. Thanks to you I could pass the admission exam with a high score. I have been watching you now for years and I will never stop because your videos are beneficial actually for all levels. That's why I always call you and Mr. James my teachers. love you and dream of being as efficient as you are.
Thank you so much, I was acepted last month in a master course in Germany, I will present the IELTS test next week and your video has helped me a lot, thank you so much greetings from México.
I absolutely recommend this page for anyone who is taking ielts soon. I had less than three weeks to practice my speaking and I still scored 8.0. This particular lesson helped me to understand how to answer questions fluently. Thanks
Fluency is the key, the more fluent you are in Expressing your thoughts the more better you will score, fluency in expressing thoughts helped me achieve band 9 in ielts speaking examination
Speaking has mostly been my struggle but as they say, as cliché as it comes, practice makes perfect. Calming yourself down before the test really is one of my more successful strategies because you can think better and brainstorm your ideas easier when you're calm and collected. I sit my test last month and it was better than my previous one. Speaking: 8 Writing: 8 Listening: 8.5 Reading 8:5 Overall: 8.5
I think you're right when you said 'do not be afraid to say i don't know' because sometimes i don't really know anything about a topic even in my native language . I think what i have to do before going to the interview is educating myself generally not just in English but even in my native language and of course focusing on significant topics. This is such an important lesson i really appreciate it.
Ну я же не один говорю по-английски на Земле. В крайнем случае можно взять вопросы из экзамена и отвечать на них самому себе, если некого попросить поспрашивать)
Such a great instructor What I liked the most about this video is that its short and straight to the point. Too many useful tips and tricks in13 mins only!
this is so true. that's what I've always thought. if you don't have ideas on a particular topic you sound awkward speaking on it even in your native language
When I saw your new video was uploaded I feel better :) Thanks for your support to us to improve our english skills accordingly. Before I watched the video, I have already liked it ;) Thanks again to people who provide to us these incredible lessons.
Serously I think I m very lucky because I was Borne in a francophone contry, so in my country the second lunguage it's French , so French and english are closer, I speak very very fluency French. I passed my IELS the past May. I has just 5. Now Continue my studies English in AMERICAN LUNGUAGE CENTER. at now I m in advanced3. At now I can see the english lunguage It's rich and intersting. Thank you so much teacher Adam I love so much your methodology💜💜💜💜💜💜
Engvid provides quality content, I remember that I've started watching your videos long ago, you're one of my favorite teachers, I feel identified with this lesson, I came to the same conclusion. Keep doing this outstanding content, I encourage you, and I want to express my thankfulness as well. Bye
I had my IELTS Speaking last week. The examiner was really nice. His questions were: Do you live in a flat or an apartment, etc, Part 2 Talk about a speacial attire you wore in an occassion. Part 3 was sharing opinions and ideas about clothing.
Morgan Bev hi plz can u tell me how much time u took to preapre for ilets exam?? Im about to start prep now and thinking to appear on june..can u plz suggest me how did u start ur preparation??
are u stupid ?. what is wrong with u bro ? . adam just gave the good way to improve fluency instead of ideas . after your preparation u can speak automaticly !
Thank a lot, these are very useful tips. Usually when you are preparing you become so focussed that forgot to look at these things objectively but when you approach it like this, it really helps to break it down and then tackle small bits.
I like lasagna since i've been eating it eversince i remember starting to eat. My dad brought me books about lasagna and i even watch movies where the characters like eating it. Backstreet boys was my favorite band until i found out linkin park share the same passion for lasagna as me. I reinvented the lemon tree song with the lasagna dish. And u wont beliebe that My czn who happens to be my best frnd also craves lasagna. My hobby is to read about lasagna and its different varieties that can b prepared which is my favorite activity too. We used to play a game "throw the lasagna at the face" instead of a cake. And when i go on vacation, i search for lasagna resturants and if i cant find one, i would just prepare it. I wish there was a lasagna island where i could spend my vacation. Yeehaww
I've really loved it! I'll try to do that to improve my conversations in English !! I just scared your sentence: "You killed two birds with one stone" It was sad kkkkk. I'm kidding, I'll use that as a well. tks !!
Yes. Fluency is where I'm weakest in English communication. I wish I had a native speaker to practice speaking English with. I'm not even sure if this is all grammatically correct.
Adam, I really, really, really love you, your videos and I appreciate you. Thank you very much for your help. Your advices are extremely useful!!!!!!! Uraa!!!💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
makes sense, important not to panick as you said and have in mind structure, i call it write down points one after the other, then use the construction of the sentence as I am not English person and is difficult to become perfect but try the utmost as I have a lot of immagination and get lots of ideas sometimes depends
This i think is the best strategy on how be fluent in speaking section. By the way, i watched almost all speaking tips in youtube, and this by far is the best and makes so much sense.
Hi adam. Just got my IELTS results last week. Listening 9.0, Reading 8.5, Speaking 8.0, Writing 6.5.. I need 7 overall band score and 7 in all categories. I definitely need to work on my writing 😢
Hi Adam, i have question for which i could not find a good answer. Question: where do you see yourself in next 10 years? Can you help me on this question
OK, try this.... I haven't made any long-term plans yet so it's difficult to say with any certainty, but I aspire to be working in a large multinational company, one which is prepared to reward on merit and promote accordingly. However as I said, this is not set in stone and I am open-minded about how my life may go.
thanks a lot...all the advice , topic, all this issues make me strong and every step I take, all my performance I owe to all o you, Mr, Adams ,Rebeca, Alex....
Teacher you are really remarkable and a gem here in youtube! I learn alot from your lessons. My take on this is "Just embrace English, accept it and don't push-back" Acknowledge that we need it and we will also benefit from all these hard work. To sum up, English is such a beautiful & fun language to learn. So enjoy 😉
