I like to think that they actually had this conversation, or at least, Garnet talked to her about it. She used her future vision to look into different futures, and saw this one. She later explained it to Rose, and told her to be prepared to make the decision, if they were living in that timeline. This later led to Rose making a video for both of her kids, but knew that only one would see it.

"Garnet." "Yes?" Subtitles: "iM gOnNa yEs"

Plot twist: Rose had twins but they fused

Rose: “I’m having twins? Yay!” Garnet: “yesn’t”

Garnet: There's just one problem. Rose: What's that? Garnet: You and the twin you pick will die. Rose: Wait... *W H A T*

Garnet: one problem, its twins Rose: twins! 2 children Garnet: *Well yes, but actually, no*

"I'm gonna be a mother!" Garnet: Yeeeaaaahh about that.

Rose: *has kids* Other baby: ight ima head out

Solution: Fuse with another gem before giving birth. That way there’s a gem for each kid

She was gregnant all along

*Rose goes to Pearl for support* Pearl: Why don't you terminate *both*? :D

The panel where she jumps up and laughs with happiness carry’s the same emotion and character the original show had

If only this was true, this would've been the best show *E V E R*

Nora: *crying and shaking because she isn't gonna make it* Spinel: First time?

Also me: If this is really what happened, then I'm pretty sure that we all know which baby Rose gave her gem to.

Well I guess we know why Steven and Nora were the two choices... I love how careful Garnet was with this. She didn't want to tell her but she know rose deserved to know the truth.

You know when Garnet takes the glasses off, shits about to go down

As a twin this is depressing -_-

imagine if the show ended with Rose: "So garnet? What do you see?" Garnet: *crying noises*

This comic legit almost made me cry 😢, how the voice actors did this, I fit so well with the scene

But what if rose fused with another gem? Wouldnt that stabilize both of the babies?

I was actually expecting garnet to say that in order to have twins she'd have to split her gem into two halves, and thinking bout that that would also be pretty interesting

I was impressed how her reaction changed so quickly

She's right over he-...what?!" *a small steven is revealed to be in the hospital bed* "Holy shit, she turned into a baby" *the doctor faints, and greg just dips with steven in his arms*

Poor Rose. Imagine having to choose which one of your offspring you want to exist knowing that the other will die. At least she was survived by Steven.

I like this concept because if you dig a little deeper, Rose/Pink wanted to escape her life as Pink to keep from killing anymore life/planets because she fell in love with the world that her and her sisters were destroying. Only for her to have to end a life one more time before being able to actually BRING life into the world like she dreamt of doing since she discovered humans. It’s pretty ironic.

"Oh my god! I can't believe it! Twins?!" Subtitles: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT *_TOYA'S?!_*

Rose: *crying happy tears* 5 seconds later Rose: *starts crying sad tears* (Edit:I notice that people are like erm explaning why she did that and logic about it so i get it okay!Thank you for 2.2K likes too!)

There is not a reason in the universe that justifies a story being this sad

When I saw this for the first time it hit me in the feels HARD.

It's quite clear which twin Rose gave her gem and powers to. Me (At the beginning): 😭 because the artwork is so beautiful. Me (At the end): 😭 because ... actually, I don't think I or anyone needs to give a reason for crying at the end.

Rose: Crying Caption: [Music] Are you sure about that

Garnet- "In other words, for you to possess just one gem... You can only choose one of the twins to live." Me-" *Sniff* Hey, who put this bowl of onions here?"

So although I like to think that the babies fused when they were born, Another alternative for them to live could've been splitting the gem and having both babies get a half of a gem, if that would cause issues perhaps they could be soaked in rose's fountain to heal the broken pieces.

The crying is realistic to the point it made me sad

Now rewatching this..if this was or is canon, this would make the whole Steven and Nora thing make a lot more sense..much sadder if anything 😅😓

I feel like Pearl MIGHT have fused with Rose in order for both the children to live since she cares so about Rose a lot because she's still "her diamond"

Do you know who might be able to help with this? Pearl. Think about it, she's already deeply in love with Rose and would do anything to make her happy, plus being able to live as Rainbow Quartz until their final days would probably delight Pearl, even if their time was limited. Having the twins grow up together as a family, each with a component gem, they can love each other forever in a new exciting way that Pearl and Rose never knew before, not even as a fusion. Love finds a way...

Pink Steven and Human Steven are the two babies. As soon as they were born, they immediately fused to form the Steven we have now.

That would be an interesting concept if both were to survive birth. Either Roze would intentionally split her gem in half, create a synthetic gem and copy as much data as she could onto it, or perhaps her two children would be like when Steven's gem was separated from his body. One detached from humanity, the other struggling to hold onto life. Only together (or at least near eachother) would the Gem kid feel their emotions fully and the sickly one have strength. They would understand eachother more intimately than ruby and sapphire understand eachother.
