Honestly think my younger self would just be happy to see me alive. Being a furry was probably one of the biggest things that pulled me out of the major depression I was going through. I've met so many amazing people through the fandom and wouldn't have it any other way. I also credit the fandom a bit for helping me to become a more mature person, I used to be the most insufferable goblin, terrorizing everyone for fun. It took being on the receiving end of some of that, along with being able to respectfully talk to reasonable people which lead to me becoming someone I'm proud of. It kinda takes an inside out perspective to learn about how bad trolling can actually be, as a little kid I would go and make fun of people, be like "haha furry ur weird!!1!!1" and think nothing of it. It's only after actually experiencing that happening that you can get an understanding of it, at least for me. It always makes me sad seeing the amount of hate subjected towards the fandom, because from what I've experienced it's filled with the nicest, and more compassionate people. The fandom gave me a place to express my feelings that I was always to scared to tell. They people were there for me and comforted me, and were the leading reason why I got the courage to finally ask for help. Surprisingly, the furry fandom has helped me to become a more normal person, contrary to the thumbnail of the video. It really helped me shed the layer of sarcasm that was my entire online personality, always felt so vulnerable showing any shred of emotion. The fandom really helped me to open up a bit more, and it feels a lot nicer to be genuine. This translated in to my offline life too, where I can open up about how I feel, and show genuine empathy for the people in my life. It's kinda crazy how a community about "funny anthropomorphic animals do a silly" could impact my life so positively, but it did. Just realized how much of a essay this comment is.

to be honest, i do miss 2018 to before. i might sound like one of those kids that go around on youtube shorts commenting about "nostalgia" on roblox now and after freaks music edits, but roblox was surely much better before. it had that avatar background, it was a cool dresser. and the create your account screen, i remember it was a theme park, i'm probably wrong tho. the games, natural disaster, zombie attack, the rps that werent brookhaven, oof sound, work at a pizza place, *egg hunts, good events that werent just sponsors, the guest system, bloxy awards, that home screen welcome,* and much more. now, in those times with that good of a community, you might wonder, *what could possibly go wrong?;* my man MANY things went wrong. first of all, 2 years later egg hunts were removed. second of all, a revamp on the home page, the logo becoming more boring. third of all, events are gone, just some boring sponsors. and lastly, ROBLOX KIDS WENT TO TIKTOK. slenders becoming a thing, online daters becoming a thing, and many more stuff. i might just be some random guy out there, but someone's gotta say all of this. good day/night.
