As a British person who's in an American school. It's legit the opposite and people respect you. Maybe it's just my school but damn the respect here is amazing

There was actually an American kid who went to my school called Michael and he was the most annoying kid around! He would constantly 'correct' people when they said something like "these crisps are tasty'and he would say 'those are chips idiot! And he would try brag about hpw tuff he was and how everyone in America had guns. Then one day he made the stupid decision of walking up to a kid called Alfred (a really tough kid) and started making fun of his posh accent then alfred kneed him in the stomach and repeatedly smashed his head into the wall until it bled! Alfred was expelled and Mitchell left but Alfred is still rememberd as a kind of hero.

I had an American kid at my school, I’m from the UK and he had to move schools after he was trying to be a bully and it didn’t work, everyone just took the piss out of him so much, which forced the headteacher to tell him to leave the school😂

I was born and raised in the uk until 2015 and I’ve been in the US for a few years now. If I lived in the US until like year 9 or something and moved back to the UK right now… i must admit, I would probably not survive 😂 I mean, I know how it’s like in UK secondary school since I still talk to my UK friends but like, I would probably still not survive since my high school is literally nice and accepting of everyone. all the bullies are literally so quiet and don’t even do a lot💀 they just insult you once and it isn’t even hurting

I see in a lot of things that us Dutch and British people have in common. We're blunt/direct. Insulting your friends actually means you like em. No way we would tell a friend we love em. We do that with insults. (And that while I just said how direct we are. lol. But you get it.) We don't need to be the best in everything. We don't think it's cool to join after school programs or school clubs.

I live in the “well renounced British” parts of England and the year 7’s are pretty different here, they are half or even shorter of my height hardly do anything, most of the time they stay in the “year seven area” in their separate block from all the other years, last year 7 fight I saw was when I was in the year and it was two siblings 😀 Most of the girls got into some weird trend where they cut their hair short and have the infamous chav tan; orange. With high pony tails or the others with raccoon typed hair. There is some normal-ish people that stay out on the upper parts of the yard but they are leaving the school another after other maybe me too lmfao who needs a life story but you are reading it after all. My school has the two “most popular” (most seen) people the chav’s orange short high pony tail with the raccoon or drag emo hairdo.. and the ehhh what do you call them, there’s different categories 😂😂 tall skinny pale boys in bin bags with a bandana or maybe a backwards cap, then there’s the ones that are fully head to toe in black that you catch smoking near school grounds ( not much difference ) then there’s the ones that “catch up with the trend” always you see them in with the north face coat out of school baggy pants with a hat on with hood or just the hood. They walk like they are about to piss them selves and if they walk fast it will all just come flowing, so they take these long leisurely steps with their hands in their pockets, and when they see you. Recognise you, they come over follow you asking for some cigarettes or how you been. Or they come over on a bike and try to show off by doing a wheely then fall off, (yes this happened to me) you laugh and they threatened to get you jumped but you keep laughing and walk off. The person who was supposed to jump you was a year seven not even 5 ft . . . You didn’t get jumped The year 7 ran away That one that fell off the bike never even glances at you. Pretty good outcome if you ask me.
