'If Anyone Leaves the Trench - Death Penalty.' Russian POW Confession

DISCLAIMER: the POW gave his clear consent for filming and publishing this footage. POWs are protected by the Geneva Convention and treated accordingly in Ukraine.
Oleg was drafted in Russia to the war against Ukraine under the fear of a prison term. Either go to war - or to prison. If someone left the trenches - death penalty would be executed. Oleg appeals to other men in Russia that could be drafted and mobilized: 'Don't go to this war, you would die in a stupid way,' the POW said.

Trust me, if youve been out in the field for any length of time in those conditions youd look just like that. I have pictures of me with platoons, squads, and teams and a lot of the guys in those pictures, including me, are almost unrecognizable. Some of the pictures look like bunches of heavily armed very dirty pirates with modern weapons. I was on a two week long range patrol once in 45+ degrees celsius and we all lost about 10kgs. Some lost more. We had to hook our pants onto our webbing just to keep our pants up. And we didnt wash at all so we were filthy. When w got back in we looked liked we'd just escaped from a very bad prison camp.

The only sensible option for ALL Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine, is to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Glory to Ukraine!
@hardtackbeans9790
@hardtackbeans9790 Год назад
I think the whole point to this video is you get shot if you leave the trench. So I'm not quite sure how you would surrender. The only sensible option is for all conscripts to refuse to go. There is no case recorded of anyone being tried or going to jail for this. Only the threat of it. If press gangs force them to go to Ukraine, Then yes, do fade into the confusion as best you can & try to surrender.
@casparillo987
@casparillo987 Год назад
I hope that Russian men conscripted to go to fight in Ukraine, will eventually develop the courage to refuse to go - but if they don't, their ONLY chance of survival, once they are in Ukraine, is to quietly surrender, when the opportunity arises. Glory to Ukraine!

@@oskarsoskars3365 Ummm. I don't think he toked anything . . . Okay, sorry. I know what you mean. There is a difference between murder & warfare in the Bible. I think it is better to speak legalistically rather than biblically. Someone at war killing someone, does not commit a crime. Even if they fight on the wrong side of the moral issue. Technically shorty putin hasn't declared a war, which make the russians technically (check me on this) marauders. Realistically we all know it is a war. Fighting a war isn't a crime. A nation can be guilty of creating a war under false pretext which russia has done. But the individual soldier isn't. There is the matter of war crimes which russia has committed by the truck load & many 'average' russian are guilty of. If you want to discuss the religious aspect, you need to be careful. Someone knowledgeable can rip into your argument pretty quick if you haven't thought it through.

Invaders always didn’t end up good, why would you invade someone, this war is absolutely horrible and unnecessary

Is it possible that after 15 months of war the Russian people have not realised what is happening to their loved ones and do nothing ? It's about time they wake from their 25 years of slavery !!

Well, if the invaders just lower their heads and let them treat them like cannon fodder, what can Ukraine do?

Will this fellow be part of a POW swap? If so he’s essentially a dead man anyway. Or has he been given sanctuary of some sort? I believe him but there’s so much psyops etc going on ( by everyone) it’s difficult to determine anything much.

Its like all wars, you differentiate between your POW's based on many factors.

They get a choice between prisoner swaps or staying there doing low skilled jobs. At least they did before, i cant say if thats still being done.

@@Ukraineaissance2014 I think they still have that option along with the option to stay in Ukraine permanently if they think they will be imprisoned or worse on returning to Russia

Please don't send these guys back unless they want to go back, when these videos get out they might be retaliated against.

Can you hold him until the war is over? He’s just going to be sent back into combat. He doesn’t want to do it.

I can only wish I get to live in this war. I have already killed too many. only 15. My only wish is to see my mother again.
