So when Canelo was offers the 3 fight deal he was promised $50 mill per fight, then he gets told they want him to fight Charlo for $35 mill, that’s breaching the contract and not giving him what he was promised. So him wanting to leave the PBC was actually justified. Idk why people have a hard time getting that.
I believe it was 100 mill contract with the first fight being 30 mill and the last two being 35, they didn’t want to pay him 35 but something around 15 mill for Jermall but that they would pay him 35 for mall if Benavides was his 3rd fight for another 35, canelo and his team ain’t dumb, they know the fight vs Benavides is the biggest money maker.
Everyone just needs to just stop guessing and predicting next fights cause till this point everyone has been wrong about something cause Canelo left and came back. But now that canelo going back Al needs to make Benavidez and Canelo Happen cause we all hear Benavidez say Al has been great to him and trust him.

In part. The main thing is Tank doesn’t have all the belts in his division; in fact Tank didn’t even have a real belt until a few months ago. Only 1 fighter at 168 received a title shot since 2021 which is INSANE man.

Tank isn’t holding up the 135 division by not fighting certain people whereas Canelo is. If he dropped his belts there’d be no anger but he wants to keep them without defending against those who deserve the title shots.

I don’t feel Haymon is willing to give him to Canelo. Who else does he have that’s a big name and potential star. If Canelo beats Benavidez the pbc will have no one to market. I think they’re holding on to Benavidez for financial reasons. To me it’s just too risky for them to allow that or they would have included him in the contract. That’s just my perspective on the matter regardless of him being the mandatory. If so they’re gonna really have to dish out more than just 35 mil for that.
Dude Benavidez himself confirmed he accepted an offer where he was only getting 5 million flat whereas Canelo got close to 60 million guaranteed plus all the PPV profits. They aren’t “protecting” Benavidez at all Canelo just doesn’t want to fight him🤷🏾♂️

Showtime already offered a lucrative contract for Benavidez alone in summer of 2023 and Canelo ignored it (this was confirmed by Steven Espinoza on camera with Punsh Drunk). Canelo then works out a deal to fight multiple people at PBC for less money but not David. Then because of the financial risks for PBC with a Jermall fight, Canelo sends Benavidez an offer for 5 million flat with literally 0% of the backend, meaning Benavidez would take a pay cut on the biggest fight in boxing. David accepts the offer only to get ghosted again without even a confirmation or turnaround about team Canelo sending a contract. Then Hearn tries to make the fight because DAZN wants the Benavidez fight too and can’t afford to pay Canelo what he wants for shitty fights. As you see now, Canelo is stuck trying to work things out with PBC again because DAZN can’t lose more money paying Canelo how he wants. Canelo is the biggest star in boxing and there’s still no confirmation about a fight expected to happen in 8 weeks. Canelo has proven that he’s the problem in all this bro.
