8:27 I like how Beppi's mouth somewhat syncs with the Music. Also, choosing BIG SHOT for Saltbaker is genius. Both Spamton and Salt send the player to kill/defeat enemies for their own self gain, ultimately leading to them in their most powerful forms.
I guess the strongest form of Spamton is the weakest form, you never see all of his attacks cuz you're probably gonna struggle like me on the part where spamton has 2 phones sliding and he is just blasting away the pellets.

"BUT JUST LOOK, MS. CHALICE. LOOK AT THE POWER OF [AstralPlane] AND ASK YOURSELF... WELL, DON'T YOU? DON'T YOU WANNA BE A [Top Chef]!?" - TOP CHEF SALTBAKER
46:00 I'm just so glad everyone agrees that BIG SHOT plays for this theme. It's just so fitting. Also Rude Buster, Checker Dance, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A, BoneTrousle, THE WORLD REVOLVING, Pandora Palace, Dummy!, Attack Of The Killer Queen, Power of NEO, Ghost Fight, A REAL BOY, and Death By Glamour were fitting to the fights but Chaos king was kinda out of place. 35:15 This is fitting aswel 43:05 Clever joke
The renamed names of the songs are so creative, also that the music fits and changes for example when using the superattack as it does in the game, great job
Chef Saltbaker and Spamton are kind of like the same. Both want to gain control over something so they use the protagonist to achieve that goal. Though Saltbaker didn't succeeded on controlling the astral plane whereas Spamton in the snowgrave route took full control over the Cybercity.
Some definitely work better than others, but the ones that do work almost flawlessly. Checker dance, world revolving and Knock you down were used perfectly, they slot right in! Pandora palace also worked surprisingly well, It gives the Grim fight a very distinct vibe. I wasn't sold on Amalgam for Mortimer/Death by glamour for the Howling aces until i saw the final phases, those 2 are very situational. In my opinion chaos king is easily the weakest, i think you should've swapped Glumstone and the Secret Devil & Angel boss themes around, Since Chaos king really fits with the tone of the Secret boss (And Megalovania would kinda work for Glum? IDK Megalovania is really hard to fit in)
It’s pronounced rules and the ghost cousin songs also work great, but that’s hardly surprising considering they both follow their respective genres pretty closely
Megalovania is a good music but it dont fit with nothing For me not even sans work great with that music it is way to weird it's the weakest out of the 3 final boss themes
46:00 the transitions to the different phases matches up so well with he music 46:53 (transition to phase 2) 47:40 (transition to phase 3/final phase?)
I haven’t seen anyone point this out but I wanted to say how much I enjoyed what they did with Spider Dance and the Moonshine Mob. When it came to the second phase the music became slightly muffled because it’s (presumably) coming from the phonograph and it’s being used for an attack. And around 37:19 when the anteater was knocked down the music died down a little but not all the way hinting that the fight isn’t over unlike all the other fights that has their music cutoff when the fight’s over. Only after defeating the snail boss does the music stop.
spamton's big shot was a great choice for saltbaker he seems like a nice guy that offers to help you, yet you must get an object and return it to him in order to help him achieve that, until you find out his intentions, which includes taking a soul for himself for his own evil needs causing you to engage in a multi-phase boss fight in order to stop that from happening it fits so well that you probably couldn't tell which one I was talking about.
Some of these themes and the bosses they were used for in both games fit very well: -The Root Pack is essentially the tutorial boss (along with Goopy, but you see The Root Pack's garden within seconds of exploring Inkwell Isle 1) and Rude Buster was also used in the battle tutorial, that being Lancer.) -K. Round jumps around during half its attacks, and so does Goopy. -Both Hilda and Spamton move around frequently during their battles and have many attacks that home on you. -Bonetrousle is an upbeat, fast-paced piece for a skeleton whose only goal initially is to capture you, and so does Cagney, replacing "capture" with "kill". -Undyne and Ribby/Croaks are both skilled fighters and both of their movesets have many high-speed attacks that require a fast reaction time. -Clowns. Just clowns. -Heartache is the first one here I disagree with. While it may fit, it purely relies on the fact that the song itself is good. Toriel is someone who forces herself to fight but deeply wants it all to end and Bon Bon is a killer from Candy Crush. -Asgore is the pre-final boss of the pacifist and neutral routes in Undertale and while Djimmi might not be King Dice, an absurdly long (Djimmi has 3100 HP on Expert, most other bosses have 1500-2200) fight with an equally as large moveset feels like one. -The only similarity between Berdly and Wally Warbles is that they're birds. -Pandora Palace is another one I disagree with. While a dragon would show up in some medieval regal folklore, the Grim Matchstick fight isn't exactly a cheerful final area before the final boss. -Queen and Rumor Honeybottoms are both queens, but Queen is a robotic ruler of an entire kingdom while Rumor is a bee that rules one hive and that's it. -Giga Queen and Dr. Kahl's robot are both very large robots that tower over the heroes and that give you next to no breaks. -While it isn't exactly bad, there's basically no similarity between Sally Stageplay and Mad Mew Mew. -Again, the only similarity between Werner and Mettaton are that they both either are or control a robot. -Once again, pirates. -Cala Mario and Undyne the Undying are both difficult bosses that stop at nothing to kill you (Undyne breaks the rules of death themselves and Cala survives losing everything but her head). -Dummy is based on Ghost fight and Napstablook and the Phantom Express are either ghosts or undead. -Neither the Dummy nor King Dice when you're playing his game actually do anything to you and the minibosses could be considered stronger enemies compared to, say, the logs in Treetop Trouble. -Mettaton Neo and King Dice when fighting you are both enemies that seem powerful but really aren't (Mettaton Neo dies in one hit and can't attack, King Dice has one attack that's cheeseable half the time). -Photoshop Flowey and the Devil are both the final bosses of one of the game's campaigns. -Ghosts. -Insects. -No similarities as far as I can tell between Glumstome and King. Glumstone isn't the final boss and is more about "here's a boatload of stuff, dodge it" instead of "here's an attack, strategize the best way to avoid it". -Both Esther and Sans (the song is unused so I'm counting it towards Sans)'s battles have extreme amounts of stuff going on all the time throughout the entire fight. It's fast-paced too which fits the fight as well. -Except for a 1-second-long gag at the end of the fight when you kill the snowflake, there is no reason that music should be there. To be honest, there's no good winter-themed battle music. Neither the Snowgrave route nor Snowdin have anything and the best I could find was Vs. Susie. -Death by Glamour works in the final phase, since the helicopter and Mettaton EX are both vaguely, very vaguely, humanoid robots. -Yeah, Megalovania doesn't really work. Should've given it to the Devil instead. -BIG SHOT is perfect. Saltbaker and Spamton are both normal people turned psychopaths for various reasons, both are optional final bosses (Spamton NEO is a secret boss and Saltbaker requires purchasing an optional DLC) and both are difficult for first-time players.
love how the songs tried to balance how well they fit with the mood but also how they fit with the original source, like dr kahls robot relating to the queens giant mech, or wally warbles being a bird like berdly
The amount of effort you put into this is beyond insane. Affecting the song based on attacks and events is something I never would have thought of. Not even mentioning the fact that you (I presume) beat them on EXPERT for footage. Amazing. P.S. I meant that it is presumably her that beat the bosses, not if they're on expert. They all are. Edit: Sorry I got their pronouns wrong before.
0:00 - "Here's their fight-class battle. Here Goes!" 1:22 - "A brawl is surely bruwling. Now Go!" 2:35 - "Good day for a swell battle, Now Go!" 7:45 - "This mutch will get red hot. There it goes!" 31:37 - "A great plan, and then some. You're up!" 35:28 - "(with a squicky voice) A brawl is surely bruwling. And dive!" 45:02 - "DO YOU WANNA HAVE A BADTIME? You're up!" 46:00 - "NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO BE A BIG SHOT (TOP CHEF)! Now Go!"
Okay, here's one no one's mentioned yet, IS NO ONE GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT TIMING ON 48:19 ?! LIKE, ITS LEGIT PERFECT! THEY ACTIVATE THEIR SUPER RIGHT WHEN THE CHORUS COMES BACK IN!
You even edited it to fit around the supers!!! Dude!! That’s friggin’ cool dude, this is absolutely great. Your choice of theme for each is so good too!!!
I love how the music always changes moteifs when the next phase starts. And how the beat dropped on metal crusher and BIG SHOT as soon as the fight started/got serious (47:46 PERFECT TIMING!)
The editing in this video is stellar. The fights sync with the theme songs' rhythm immaculately, and you even included the pitch getting higher when supers are used. Great job!
@@goodboi1725 uhh no The game is not compiled so you can easily search for the music files and change them I 2 buttons Me for example on RainWorld when I get to robot lady called moon my game starts playing act clear theme from sonic unleashed
@@B.L.U.S fine, you're probably right, but if you listen to the video, all of the original sounds are more muted because the guy wanted to make the music that is being edited easier to hear
timestamps that are my favorite (because of the music): (i also love the editing like for example: 1:51) 9:28 12:57 14:44 16:08 19:51 21:55 26:18 35:28 ( i get it, because he's a "spider" and the song's called "spider dance") 39:22 46:00 because of the nose? because of the nose.
Wow I am genuinely stunned by how much these fit. Great work with matching these together. The titles in the description are a neat and creative little touch too.
-Long pointy nose -Manipulates protagonists to obtain power -Is a final boss -Has banger theme -You'll have hard time dealing with his heart -Creepy smile Those two are the same, aren't they?
I know theres probably a lot of comments below me saying some songs are fit for these boss battles but can we just appreciate this and the tiny detail that when a super is used the song speeds up
There's so many things to love about this video. 1. There's S ranks comin' out the ass. That's impressive 👏 2. This music slaps. I'm a simp for Toby Fox's songs. 3. You renamed all of the songs to fit the level. All of these names are very creative.
Because of the timing in Cala Maria's (which is a pun on Calamari, you ain't slick Cuphead) battle, it makes it look like Cala Maria going underwater seem like an Avengers-level threat
i like how you actually imported it into the game instead of just editing it in because at the supers you usually know it speeds up the music and you still hear that same effect when they do supers in the video
16:08 Feel like attack of the killer queen fits both the boss, and the theme of the song kinda gives the same vibe of ascending upwards, or scaling a tower.
This entire video was amazing from start to finish! I love the details like the music speeding up when Cuphead uses a Super Ability Also the names you gave to these boss fights were very charming and clever too! I can’t give enough praise to the amount of care and attention that went into this!
Loved this video! There are so many pairings that work so well! Honestly, the only thing that would’ve made this better overall is if you added the King’s Leap mini bosses. However, I do also have some alternate pairing ideas of my own. Firstly, I think the secret Angel/Demon boss should have one of the genocide themes (most likely the one that plays in Snowdin/the snowy forest.) It works well since it’s an eerie theme for an eerie secret. Secondly, I like Power of Neo for King Dice, but I feel like Chaos King would’ve worked better. And Glumstone should have something else (what exactly I’m not sure.) I also think that Lancer’s theme works better for Dice’s minions than Stronger Monsters. And that’s all my criticism! Overall, great video in the end! And I’ll cap this off with a tip: In the Howling Aces’ level, if you don’t kill all the pups shooting letters at you by the time phase 2 ends (because it’s based on time instead of damage,) you get a secret phase 3, where instead of shooting the baroness in the mouth, she and the pups shoot things at you from the paws instead of the lasers, and you shoot at them like that for the whole phase with NO CAMERA ROTATION. Just a fun tip I felt like giving to help you get that S rank. Have a good day! :)
well tbh if you do a vid like this, it's pretty much mandatory to have some form of megalovania in it, cause that's the thing people remember the most from undertale soundtrack
For the howling aces, I don’t think the second phase is based on time, you have to purposefully hit all the pups until they are smoking without killing them fully in order to activate the secret phase
@@benjaminmenist That's how I got to phase 3 alternate and it was hilarious. I always say that for each isle there's a secret route based on something, in one of the bosses. On isle 1, is based on kindness(Don't shoot the onion...) On isle 2, it's based on cunning/smarts(Shrink when Djimmi tries to read you up) On isle 3, it's based on skill and positioning(Drop both angel prop platforms by parrying Sally's kisses) As for isle 4, it's a test of wits/"mercy".(You have to change all of the pups' jetpacks from white to gray smoke without dropping any of them offscreen. Even if they were "shooting barks" at you, would you REALLY hurt those lil' pups?).
I think "The Power of NEO" works better for King Dice, if only for the parallels that can be drawn between him and the theme's original owner. Mettaton NEO is a paper tiger, plain and simple-- he looks intimidating, but goes down in one hit. Similarly, you might dread the thought of fighting King Dice himself with his minions putting you through the wringer, but when you actually get there, you'll probably realize that you overhyped him as soon as you figure out his attacks-- all *one* of them.
now someone needs to make a cuphead/deltarune fangame where it's pixelated and you fight deltarune bosses with, obviously, deltarune characters, but it plays like cuphead
The best collaboration I've ever seen. I really prefer this video. Each characters and musics are really fit and arrangement(only the speed tho) is perfect. I'll subscribe your channel.
saltbaker, devil, and mortimer definitely have the best ones. not only does the song fit very well, but every change of the fight has a perfect song change to accompany it
Who else likes to sometimes turn off the game music in the settings and play whatever music you want when fighting a boss? Also, I love how the music is sped up when a special is being used. Details like that make this even better. I personally think that the songs for Djimmi and Saltbaker should be switched, since I think BIG SHOT matches Djimmi with all the crazy forms he’s quickly changing through, and ASGORE fits Saltbaker as a more grand boss battle, since it’s basically the final boss of the entire game. I still think BIG SHOT works with Saltbaker though.
@@sekinaperkins4618 Lol I love that song! It’s probably my favorite track in Sonic Mania. I think my favorite boss to play it over are The Howling Aces.
Okay, know what's funny? As soon as I saw Chef Saltbaker, I was like "yeah no he's going to get the Spamton treatment" because of the big nose/teeth. The song also fits perfectly!
