I love how you can see Connor's LED just so clearly and before he runs straight at Simon he thinks, and you see his red LED cycle from yellow to blue. He has predicted what will happen and is confident in his abilities.

If you ever decided to create an animated series like that, I would definitely watch it.

I'm so glad people still remember this game! To me it felt like people adored it for a few months and it suddenly just disappeared once all of the endings and secrets were discovered. The fact it turns 5 years old in May of next year feels surreal.

I'm playing the game, and I literally just got to this scene. It was kind of a kick in the leg, realizing that the scene was actually taken from the game itself, and to me that's just incredible. Connor is by far my favorite character, and seeing the exact same interaction with Simon made me feel a bit sad, yet ecstatic at the same time.

the use of the LEDs and the LED motif in Connor’s eyes, the acting, the camerawork, everything about this is PHENOMENAL! I’m really incredibly happy to have found your channel, you’re unbelievably skilled and your work is an absolute TREAT to watch

Cool thing about DBH, is the fact that it could literally be adapted in like 99 different ways, whether it be about specific choices or combining choices that couldn't be before. I'd love to see an animated or Live Action DBH one day, and it wouldn't be that hard to cast since you can just reuse the game cast (They did acting, mocap, and voice acting for those that don't know instead just the usual voice acting).

The movements and the voice acting is amazing. The slow-motion parts and Connor's expressions are beautiful. If you decide to continue this I would definitely watch it.

I like the that detail that when hank talks or is exhaling, there’s a trail coming out. Since he’s a human, not an anroid ofc. But for Connor he doesn’t. Even when he was exhaling intensely at 0:57 nice little attention to detail :D.

First of all, I was not expecting that deep voice acting at all. Also, I am going to be very honest right now. I am in love with how you animate, like actually. It's so perfect and fluid and the way you can just- do it so awesomely is so. It's incredible. I really want to animate like this someday, but I just haven't had any motivation to practice at all. So here I am just watching people be awesome.

I was intrigued...The voice acting,analyzing scene..It was so fascinating!Its been 4 years since the games release and it never fails to fascinates me with its cool graphics and voice acting along with cool details

I was honestly expected an anime opening style of animation, but this is just as amazing. The Stratford tower rooftop scene with Simon is really great. I think you were able to accurately portray the high stakes and the intensity of the scene. Great job!

There's so many little details that I love about this interpretation of the scene in DBH that Sad-ist decided to include, so I'm listing them out whether they're obvious or not. 0:21 The moment Connor notices Simon, his LED immediately switches from blue to yellow, and the exact frame where he's shot has the LED starting to turn red (component damage or high stress). 0:27 CONNOR'S JUST READY TO CHARGE SIMON RIGHT AFTER GETTING SHOT AND THEN HE GETS DRAGGED UP BY HANK BHAHSDAFSLGJDKFJA 0:46 Not particularly a small detail, but I adore this take on preconstruction, how his eyes have the lil LEDs. I know that part of the game was just QTEs but it could be argued that perhaps maybe some preconstruction was used to calculate the best ways to avoid bullets. ALSO THE FACT THAT THE QTE SECTION WAS ANIMATED IN REAL TIME REALLY SURPRISED ME- it was such a good choice though, we got to see what Connor looked like while he was dodging them bullets from the eyes of, say, an agent observing the conflict. And he looked dang cool. 0:49 LITERALLY SCREAMING AT THE BADASSERY OF CONNOR DROPKICKING SIMON INTO THE STORAGE CONTAINER WALL INSTEAD OF JUST JUMPING AND GRABBING HIS ARM LIKE IN THE OG SCENE???? Sad you madlad, I love how you enhance story elements of whatever you decide to animate 0:52 LUCY AND THEN MARKUS GIVING SIMON THE GUN MY HEART 0:54 I really love how Sad-ist put in that quick frame of Simon in black and white, moving the gun, which shows that Connor's still within his memories. It really gives a small but satisfying explanation as to how Connor didn't see Simon's movements until it was too late and couldn't have stopped it. ANOTHER DETAIL I FORGOT TO ADD: Simon's crying before he pulls the trigger. He's afraid to die but his loyalty to Jericho is stronger than that. That was some of the fear Connor felt from him. I know this is implied in the game, but the solid visual representation here really cements it. Man, the more I watch this, the more I appreciate Sad-ist's skill as a storyteller. 0:55 The abrupt LED yellow to red the moment Simon dies,,,, 1:34 I will never not smile whenever I see this part in the game. Hank's face softens from his furious expression when Connor says that he was scared. He's so worried when he gets back to Connor, then it turns into aggressive scolding, and then he realizes that Connor was honest to God terrified. That's something that doesn't happen in an android, yet it just did. This turned into me rambling about plot instead of details but you're going to have to deal with it because Connor's story in DBH is so good. I'M IN AWE OF THE ANIMATION QUALITY. Fully colored, fully shaded, heck, even with backgrounds? Sad-ist just keeps getting better and better. The animation movement itself was smooth as heck, and I was really immersed in the anime-esque quality of the whole thing (the first thing I noticed was how the lip sync was identical to the kind in anime, instead of Sad’s usual lip sync. That was what sold me). Bravo. Edit: so i was a complete idiot and edited for grammar and forgot i got a heart. THAMK,,,,

Why. On earth. Did it take me this long to find this animation. DBH has my whole heart and you captured so much cool crossover shit between keeping it game accurate with the audio and your style of movement, honestly, what a gorgeous blend. Good job.

I have no idea what this is but I’m speechless. That was insane, the quality, the speed, the snow, backgrounds, character design. The movement to the words from the mouth was absolutely spot on. There could of been a few off points but not everyone makes the same exact mouth movement with words. Only a professional lip reader would be able to notice that. The background design was fantastic, marvelous. The interaction between the characters and the background and stage items is *chefs kiss* perfecto. I don’t know what the characters look like but the consistency of the look throughout it all. All the little details were there. It’s soooo amazing!!!!

Looked through a few videos and blam, here I am now. Bought the game yesterday and already have a solid 12h on it and trying to find all the endings. *sigh* I guess I won't see daylight for a long time. AAALSO.. that preconstruction scene u did was super epic. replayed it like 7 times. the little details from connor's LED circling different colours to the camera panning and everything... PLEASE don't hesitate to make more dbh animatics sadist >:D its deadass my fave videogame to this day and i'm so thankful that u've brought it back to light ^v^

Its a shame one of the best moments to discover in Connor's story literally never comes up again despite it adding a "Connor Is Traumatized" tag. Like imagine if this event fully locked you out from choosing to kill the andriod at Kamski's because Connor understands what he'd put the android through. Great animation still!

Out of all the scenes to pick, holy crud this is a good one. Ever since I saw the unfinished animation medley I just knew “gosh I wanna see SAD-ist do DBH”. AND THE WAY YOU DID THE SLOW MO SCENE WITH THE BULLET TRAJECTORY. You took what was there already and said “yes this is extremely anime yes I am absolutely running with it”

I remember discovering this game years ago, and started replaying it at the beginning of this year, and managed to 100% all chapters. This has to be my favourite scene in the entire game and it looks even better animated! The fear Connor shows as well as him genuinely being confused as to why he was scared?? Not to mention the scene where he turns and uses his android vision?? 10/10 perfection unrelated, RIP best wifey simon

Wow, this is an insane consequence - I've been playing this game with my younger brother because I LOVED the story when it came out, and I played this scene for the first time today!! I had never even seen the scene beforehand haha, my brother and I were staring in shock when we realized how much we had messed up in game. The animation is amazing, and could honestly stand as a professionally made series. The amount you've improved over the years is flabbergasting - this was so fun to watch.
