@@titicaca. That's a good way to think about it! I'd always figured their measures were exact but this'd be far easier to implement despite not being as precise!
Back in the day, whenever I play GT4, I feel like entering a french world class boutique but for cars. Like, damn, look at the HUD, the music, the interface, all screaming high class. And with this kind of graphic, it basically shows us that GT4 is timeless beauty.
Man, I got a bit emotional seeing this despite still having my PS2 and emulator. Makes me wish we'd get a remastered GT4. GT4 is by far my favorite in the series, and it changed my life. Learned so much about cars from the game. Such a vibe too that I never felt again anywhere else, and you captured that perfectly. Thank you! Man, but the editing and overlays were really impressive. Good work!!
I swear I wanna cry from childhood nostalgia. The level of attention and editing skill/detail you have put into this is immense (for example the mini freeze during circuit selection, models in exact order when choosing etc.)! I understand how hard many parts would be as I'm into editing, so I totally appreciate all the effort put into this. True masterpiece!
This is masterpiece....A lot of time I just feel like PD should have made a GT4 remake with undated graphics and physics instead of GT7 cause the single player of GT7 is still not as good as GT4
They actually wanted to do that with GT5 PD called it Gran Turismo HD and just wanted it to be the HD version of GT4 but decided to scrap that idea and make a completely new game out of it
People don't understand how long it would take to edit this masterpiece of a video... And then all the time spent to make the scenes in GT7 Amazing work!
Some mistakes I forgot to edit before rendering: -13:10 the time should have been changed to 20.502 -13:30 fail screen should say Coffee Break 1 Hope you all enjoyed the video nevertheless.
I gotta tell ya man, this was such a surprise! I've done a remake on Gran Turismo 5 using GTA V but I've never seen a recreation this in-depth and detailed using a Gran Turismo game (GT7) to make a "What if" remake on a past GT game. This was a fun trip down memory lane for me and I wish Polyphony could bring back that classic Gran Turismo charm. Not hating on GT7, I love it, but the older GT games just hit differently. Great job Eric!
This is amazing! The amount of editing this must have took is blowing me away. This isn't just GT7 gameplay with the GT4 sound effects and HUD slapped on, its every little facet of the game being injected with 7's models and gameplay, down to the smallest of details. Bravo! Really makes me wish GT7's campaign was half as good as 4's. I still love the entire vibe of 4 from top to bottom, so this video is such a fun trip. Well done!
Just remember this is basically what PD promised in those nostalgic trailers of GT7 😔 Such a shame they are so detached from what their player base wants.
Hey man, all I can say to you is that this was a masterpiece. I hope people are aware of how long it took you to record/edit all of this, and also appreciate it. The fact that you decided to create such a huge project in the first place already deserves a ton of respect... but it was also REALLY well done. GT4 was one of my fav games ever, and I think it's one of the best games of all time, simply because of how good it was for its time. So this video was a great nostalgia trip back to my childhood. Thanks a lot for your effort and hard work. I hope this video blows up at some point, as it deserves ❤️
there was soooooooooo much content in this game. my heart bleeds compared to GT7. almost a year after the release there is so little content. PD forgot how to make a good racing game. GT8, if it comes out will be my first GT game that I will not buy.
God, I cannot begin to imagine the hours put into this, incredible work, one of the best GT vids I've ever seen. And it goes to show not only how great GT7 is, but how damn well 4 looks even today
Mission 34... Memories of pain and suffering, hours spent concentrating on the circuit, countless attempts to get past the mission and win the Nissan R89C Race Car. I miss Gran Turismo 4, a game that marked my childhood a lot. ✨
GT4 still the best ever, Music, Story, Cars, Menu, Circuits, Memories.... Everything was great.. 😢 So sad to see Playstation and Gran Turismo going down year after year.. I switched to XBOX after 22 years with Playstation, i am happy with Forza Horizon but Gran Turismo still in my heart, only two: GT2 & GT4.. my best childhood memories 😭 RiP GT and Playstation.
So good! We have finally reached the point where real-time graphics look the pre-rendered videos of the past. It really felt like GT4, you must have spent a lot of time on this. Thanks!
This is how GT4 looked like, you cannot convience me that this is a remake. Now seriously it looks so good, wery well done, the only thing that could be done better is the G meter that behaves weird. Still very VERY good job!
In the GT7, they should put the campain of every GT series... maybe a change of a car here and another track there and BOOM you have a full game with a awesome and nostalgic campain with a VERY FUCKING NICE resolutions and graphics...
Hello! I'm Japanese high school student. I lovest GT4 one of the game. I playing GT4 since 4 years old. The movie is very high quality!! I was very surprised. Thanks so much to made the movie.

This game was so ahead of its time, I still have it. I hope Polyphony really tries to replicate this type of feeling with the next GT. Go back to an unchallenged standard.
It's sad that you can't use the PAL intro music because the song used in that version is blocked by the YT Copyright Hounds® in, like, 15 billion countries. 😓😞😡🤬
Polyphony digital should have made that for the 25th anniversary instead of that ripoff gt7. This hits right in the feelings. Such fond memories if that great game
