Players stopped using it because of the ever lasting glitch that anyone could see you through smoke friend or foe. That glitch lasted a very long time.
Actually smokebomber is good but the problem is whenever a low end device user (like me ) uses smoke bomber we start lagging a lot even when enemys use it we start lagging even if we are not in it so that answers ur question. Btw love from india 😊
Switched to smoke after the Shockwave nerf. Its not meta: Most teams run classes that ignore the smoke/give away your position i.e. dogs/drone/ravager even traps. If the enemy squad has a smoke user as well... the entire squad can see you in the smoke. Footstep indicators give away your positioning. So they can just shoot at the indicator. Sometimes, the class skill won't activate. Still a fun class to use if you keep these things in mind when using it.
The problem with the bomb smoker for me is that I always play ranked Br with randoms and my mic is always closed so is hard for me to read in what situations to throw it and not mess up my team because they also can not see inside the smoke so is hard to use.

I meant perfect as in it was the way it was intended to be originally and "not broken" as in it wasn't glitched. I spammed it cuz it was broken as in meta at the time 🧍
