I love this video idea! We had a fire last year and rebuilding my makeup collection is daunting!! It's nice I get to experience new items but also sucks because I miss what I had, I constantly find myself looking for items I forget I no longer own lol The rare beauty blush was one of the first items I repurchased for everyday wear!
I understand you in a way that no one should have to understand. A house fire is so absolutely violating, on so many large and small levels. I was so very lucky that when my hone burnt down, I had just moved a ton of stuff into a storage unit as I was moving in 3 weeks but my new place wasn't going to be ready for 6 weeks. I was unlucky in the fact thst it was mainly large furniture and items I didn't use often or need that season. I too lost my entire makeup collection minus a few items in my purse. Even lost my tooth brush. How are you doing now? The first item I bought was physician's FORMULA CC cream.
@@funsizedi88 It's really intimidating breaking everything down to basic necessities overnight. We're doing well! Our contractor quoted us two more months of rebuilding and we should be back home! I miss my collection because it was a hobby for me so it felt like part of myself was stripped away. I loved the CC cream by physicians formula!

I would love to see a Top 5 or Top 10 of your favourites for each section. You could do a split between cream/liquid and powder or drugstore and high end, but don't have to. I've been trying to find more affordable liquid highlighters f.e so it would be great to have tips. But just in general I love your recommendations and videos like that. Also retrying old favourites that have been out of your memory for a while due to the constant new stuff coming in. Do you still love them, will you use them again, or not.

This actually happened to me in November! I was supposed to stay at my mums and my night bag got nicked with all my makeup and skincare in from my car! Had to repurchase everything and start from scratch but meant I got rid of products I hated too! And thankfully the insurance people were fab🤣😩

I don't think you cheated. You where being honest. Only needing multiple setting sprays and not more in every department is quite impressive as a beauty youtuber, in my oppinion. Also I think it is good for people with skin struggles, to see that it is okay to need multiple products to get the results you want. Also love loooove the elf setting spray. Some great faves the rare beauty lip liners unfortunately wouldn't be in mine they last all if 10 minutes and just rub off but i love the quality of them xx
Funny I have dry skin and L’oreal BB also works for me. It surprises me that it works on your skin type because even for me it gets dewy after 6-8 hours but I have to agree it sits so nicely on the skin. But such comfortable BB cream for everyday use and wear proof
I personally don’t like the rare beauty liquid blushes bc I just haven’t been able to get them blend seamlessly like people make it seem. It always leaves like a dot on my face where I put it

I went to a formal this weekend and all my makeup was on the floor as I'd been getting ready there in my boyfriends room in front of his mirror. A guy fell asleep in my boyfriends room really drunk after and was so drunk he got up and peed all over the floor and all my makeup!! So this is basically my situation right now... Had to throw all of it away it was so tragic
soph you should try the oil free garnier bb cream for combination to oily skin. SAVED MY LIFE. lasts all day, looks natural and has great coverage. i just put it on with a beauty blender like any foundation/base product xx
I’m so disloyal to my products! If I lost all of my makeup collection I’d buy all new stuff to try something different 😂!! Even my favorite mascara right now I would buy it in black because I bought it to just try a brown mascara and ended up loving the formula so much that I wish I had it in black 🤣
I wish companies wouldn't discontinue products, especially after a few years. Like, NYX has the best BB cream (which is like a soft primer foundation) and the best cream concealer (that come sin a little jar) but guess what? THOSE ARE DISCONTINUED and you have to get them off amazon or ebay now for twice as much as they were when I used to see them at Walgreens (I'm American). They also have unique colors of lipsticks too, like the Macaron lipsticks that come in the electric blue and neon pistachio green. I know people don't wear the crazy lipstick colors everyday, but for someone like me who likes to play with crazy colors and do bold looks, I don't think unique stuff like that should be discontinued. The other companies that make similar products just don't do them as well. MAKEUP COMPANIES, PLEASE DON'T DISCONTINUE PROODUCTS, AND IF YOU DO, *BRING THEM BACK!* I'd re-purchase all the products if I could, i don't know what I'm going to do when I run out of them...
Hi Soph, I noted your mention of the NARS Radiant Longwear foundation. How do you find this wears throughout the day? Some of the reviews on their website suggest it never really “sets” and transfers really easily! I love their Sheer Glow foundation, but it can be very slightly cakey and stick to my dry patches. Getting married this year and doing my own makeup so trying to work out whether to repurchase or try your recommendation 🤔 Have you tried the Sheer Glow out of interest? Also, as someone said above, a bridal tutorial would be AMAZING! ❤️

I don't like the Rare Beauty blushes. I have probably 5 shades, and none of them work. I've tried one dot, blending with my fingers, sponge, and brush, and they're awful to me. I've tried so hard. They are very patchy to me. I'm not a fan of cream anything, though, so I'm sure that contributes to my opinion, lol. HOWEVER, I LOVEEEEE the Beauty Crop liquid blushes. And for me to LOVE a cream product, when 99% of the time, I hate them? That means they're good! I'm 41, so normally, people my age like cream stuff, but it's just not for me. Cream products are always patchy to me. (Except the Beauty Crop liquid blushes!)
I think I'm the only one who doesn't like the rare beauty blush. I love cream/liquid blushes but I think the rare beauty one dries so ridiculously quickly and i need to race to blend it out.

I got to see and touch the pat mcgrath eyeshadows recently, always thought they couldn’t be THAT good and were overpriced nope they are stunning! Defo on my ultimate wish list! I use your first palette all the freaking time! Its one of my faves!

I've never been one to like a glowy or shimmery bronzer but since you recommended the KIKO limited edition bronzer - I have never looked back. BUT BUT BUUUUUUUUT, since you're recommendation - I found that KIKO has started to make those bronzers less frequently or in smaller sizes which SUCKS! I don't remember if you've ever tried the bPerfect bronzers but I find those to be the most similar to KIKO

Hey Soph, this is crazy, my parents home burnt down a four years ago and I lost pretty much everything. I literally ran back in to get my dissertation! I hope no one has to go through that ever, genuinely the worst thing to deal with. However, Since then I have been slowly getting my makeup collection together It’s hard when everything is so expensive! Even a fiver for lip liner, i think instead of buying that I should be using it to renovate my parents house… it’s still not done! The cost of grocery shopping, rent, renovating… it’s a hard situation. But on a really positive note, I really love this video, it’s given me some good products that maybe one day I can purchase! Thanks!
