Thanks for yet another inspiring & truly educational video, Juno! Absolutely LOVE the trick of using the pdf standard inside affinity designer!! VIDEO REQUEST: Now if you could just do a video giving us some pointers on how to name/sort/organize/manage all our design files so we can easily retrieve our files to make multiple variations, that would be a dream come true!
Hi Juna! You like to do your research process the old-fashioned way without tools, as you revealed in an interview with Jay De Souza. Also, you've been a T-shirt designer for a very, very long time, you said. Would you make a video in which you present a few of your very old designs and show us your "Old Shool Research Process"? That would be super interesting 🙂
Thank you Juna. A very selfless man. You don't know what you did to me with this video. Just 6 designs to go to reach my first 100 designs. No sales yet but I'm hopeful. This video just inspired me to up my game and now I understand what an Artist design should look like.👍
Thanks for shaing this Juna! Can you share some of your best Canva fonts (I've a PRO account so can use pro fonts too) that are neutral and can be used alongside any other font/design congruently? I've trouble always finding the best fonts to mix and match, so your insight is greatly appreciated!
Juna, do you mainly develop your designs with AI these days or do you still focus on creating them by hand (sketching or drawing and implementing them in a graphics program)?
Why not download as svg in Canva? Would that be better if we have the pro account? Appreciate that you instruct on free options first . Thanks Juna! Great video as always.
I’m starting POD this year and have a Printify account. I’ve had 2 sales and shipping was a disaster. For some reason Printify picked a printer 1600 miles from the customer. They have a printer in Miami that was 1/2 the distance to the delivery location. The long shipping time (8 business days) is crazy long. How can we find out where this company or similar companies ship from? Long delivery times could be a deal breaker for me. Time sensitive orders (bdays or holidays) have to be delivered on time. I know things happen but I’d feel better if the customer knew a “no later day” delivery. What is your advice or experience regarding shipping time? Thanks for the great vids! 🎉
@@DetourShirts thanks - I’ll definitely look for that. I’m going to take your advice from another video when you said starting in a site like this would let us know if we would be committed enough to take on POD FT. I had planned on Printful, Shopify and add-on apps for personalization. As we say in the south - I was going in whole hog :)
Juna I tried to find the blast off with books template in Canva so I could practice what you did but it wouldn’t show up for me and I have a pro account. Wondering if you would know why that would be?
I kind of just stumbled on it... but I think the best way is the search for books t-shirt in Design/Templates on Canva.... don't try to search for it in elements, you may not find it.
You must add unique designs. Even if you have licensed a design, teepublic and redbubble will not accept it. That's their policy. I advise you to generate designs with AI.
@@DetourShirtsHi Juna do you have a video where you take a creative fabrica design with writing that is a svg file and take the design and change the writing on the design? I would love to see a video and if it’s possible to do that. I would like to take files in creative fabrica and change the writing. Hope you can share. Thank you and God bless you 😊
Hi Juna …If you could advise me on this would be highly appreciated… I design Alphabet from A-Z / 11oz. Mugs on 2 tone one is for Black and another is for Pink mugs . How can I group them both listings and SKUs professionally. Thank you.
Quick question - when uploading a Canva pdf graphic to affinity and no layers are available does that mean that the file has been flattened or is there a way to separate the layers? Thank you.
Yes... it could be both... usually it means it's not an SVG and just png or "photo" (raster graphic). A good rule of thumb... if you can change the colors on it, it's probably an SVG
@@DetourShirts Thank you, Juna! I learn something new with every video you post! You are a great teacher!😊 I really enjoyed how you took a graphic and made it your own and made it even better than the original.
I actually love Redbubble and got many different items samples. I think the white designs come out best on their tees but all the other items I got were bright colorful high quality printed merch! I am going to open a KDP account as now I am making less on RB due to the low tier they put me in. I like doing Passive POD and have fun while making money.
Without marketplace? Most POD sites are free to start... RedBubble, TeePublic, CafePress, Zazzle and more are free. Amazon is free too but I does take Amazon to select you.
@@DetourShirts actually I m live in Pakistan mostly withdraw method is PayPal but Pakistan has not available. Print on demand market place is better or own website is better?
What a cool design! I enjoyed watching you bring it together, and am envious of what you can do. Thanks for creating this video. I'm new to POD and trying learn as much as I can utilizing free tools.
Great video, I believe you can use canva's magic tools to edit out the elements you don't need, like erasing the book from that templet and pasting rocket :)
Plzzz make a video, how can new open redbubble account in 2024 , step by step because after release new rules of redbubble, my all accounts are suspended, if i try create new account then after 2-3 days my account suspended by redbubble .... Any new account , When i upload designs then designs is not shown my shop...
I’m curious if you take these tags and then apply to red bubble. I ask bc If you do tags this way you don’t have the data for other platforms since it’s hard to cut n paste easily from tp. I think you could also use the tags of ‘kids clothing’ for that cute design.
Social media but if you design it right TeePublic will do a lot of the "advertising" and traffic for you so it's very important to create something people will want to buy on the POD site you are selling on
Cool video, it’s great when we see our designs when we are searching /researching, I saw one of mine in the mix too. 👍 I have two teepublic artisan accounts and another two where I throw text designs & upscaled works. Keeps from diluting the artisan accounts with upscales. 😎👍
It's so helpful to see you go through the process from start to finish and hear your thought process. We tend to look at top-selling designs and think, "That's great, but I could never come up with that," but seeing you design this is very inspiring and motivating. Thank you!
