I have created about 40 journals & adult/youth/child coloring books on Canva Pro. I created multiples so that I could advertise my other books on the last page of each book. I also waited till I had a few because I’m creating a website for them. I have not actually placed anything onto KDP, Amazon, Etsy, or any other platform. That is the part that seems to be intimidating me. Previous to this I was in business for myself for 30 years and nothing intimidated me but when I lost my business after three decades I lost some of my self-confidence. I’m looking forward to publishing a couple of these books and placing them online in the next two weeks. There I just set a date. That was a good bit of advice. I also appreciated your advice that said just do it. Stop watching videos and stop rereading your notes and just throw some thing out there and see how it does. I appreciated that. I would love to work with you in whatever capacity that is. I’m going to look for other videos of yours. This by far was the BEST information seen! Inquired about your bookbag university as and found that it was sold out, which tells me your doing something good. I'm a husband and father trying to create my own brand and feel this will help me A LOT! I'm still in the get it free phase so it's ok that it was sold out. This really helped me, I've been working on and off on a few books for 2 years, and I keep getting overwhelmed by not knowing what to do or making sure its the right thing to say and dealing with life at the same time. My biggest halt has been after receiving brain surgery, I haven't been the same with writing. This video has helped ignite a spark again with how to handle the process, so thank you.

Super helpful. I recently completed a fantasy story over 120,000 words. I have another Volume I am currently working that's over 70,000 words and have the manuscript to complete the final volume. It was a pleasure watching your video. I found it fun and informative. Thank you for posting this video! You gave me a lot to think about. I need to set a date to release my book ASAP because I am awesome at coming up with ideas and starting books, but I am rubbish at completing the project and publishing the books. I love how you mention finding something you are passionate about. Employing that strategy makes it easier to complete my project and focus more on my target audience to improve my marketing outreach. I love the idea of building an email list. It seems like doing so would turn my project into a business with a pipeline or sales funnel that I own. So, I will add building an email list to my book publishing routine. It never occurred to me to publish or diversify my income with other companies like Lulu and Ingram Spark. Having more control over my brand is empowering to me. Thanks for the tip. Your colored pencils look beautiful. I now realize I need to participate in Facebook groups. Getting the groups to help me pick pictures never occurred to me.

I just came across your video today.Your video is easy to understand and you get straight to the point. I'm working on my first coloring book. I am doing the work myself because I am an artist and graphic designer. I had a question about those color pencils. How in the world did you come up with that idea?!!! I search all the time trying to find color pencils for our skin-tone. I will be branding my books with my artist name. You’re welcome! I always suggest starting with the lowest hanging fruit (what makes the most sense and is the easiest to start). This means the information that you do have access to you go ahead and use that first. Have you already published your first book on KDP? The pencils and/or pens can be manufactured but manufacturing is wayyy more complicated than publishing and depending on where you decide to manufacture you’d most likely need to order a large quantity of units. When you manufacture you can usually get the pencils & boxes together from the same place. I will be putting a course together soon and may even do a general video regarding the process. With shopify do you get 100% of the money you make with the products you sell? I know with Big Cartel, that is entirely free (which makes me suspicious), but with things like Etsy and Shopify you have to pay a fee. Is that right? And was I hearing that right about your Amazon account being terminated because of the category it was sorted into? But you managed to reinstate it, so I am assuming you emailed them about the issue. Your tips are great! I have so many ideas about what I want to do/create/sell, but not enough time to do any of it, and not enough focus to just focus on one at a time. But also, I find that one obstacle is just technology in general, or rather, my paranoia with technology. The information that it wants to take in. Or with things like Canva for example, they say you can use/publish the work you create on there, but I worry about it, you know, because I don't want people coming after me. But as far as I know, as long as it is edited so it's not just copy paste, it is okay. Sorry for the rambling. Lovely video!

You're correct, shopify charges fees. Yup, my account did get terminated before as KDP had an issue with the category. Thank God it was reinstated ;-) Regarding technology and the use of platforms like Canva, it's important to read and understand the terms of service and usage policies. I do have a video about one of Canva's recent updates here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DLKtKHYuRPk.html Managing multiple ideas and staying focused can indeed be challenging. It might be helpful to prioritize your ideas, break them down into smaller tasks, and set realistic goals. This can make the process more manageable and less overwhelming. If time is a constraint, focusing on one idea at a time or delegating tasks (by hiring someone) can also be effective. Things will happen. Keep learning and keep growing. But, don't let fear keep you from starting. Thanks so much for watching! xo

Yes, you can publish your books on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) with the same cover and interior on other platforms. KDP does not require exclusivity for paperback books published through them. You will however want to check the terms and conditions of the specific platforms you plan to use, as they may have their own rules regarding exclusivity or content restrictions.

So my 1st book has been recently published by Bookleaf publishing. They released it to Amazon, buuuuuut, I am awaiting for them to get back to me, but it would appear they don't do KDP, unfortunately hindsight is 20/20, and I got big plans...lol. So my question is...can I get my book in KDP or put in Amazon Author, if the publisher was the one who put the book in? Thank you, definitely appreciate any advice!

Thanks for the quick response Latoya. That's what I do too for my etsy shop but most of the copies I receive are very bad quality prints and keep sending them back, now I understand why many authors receive bad reviews for quality and it's not even in our control. I've been thinking of finding alternative ways to print them. Thanks again!! @@LatoyaNicoleOfficial

Does Amazon allow us publishers to post a direct link (maybe even with a discount) to our book/s on Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram? if not, then how did you send people to your Amazon page once you published your book? another thing is, when I read Amazon's terms of service, it said that if we use their ISBN basically we can't sell our books anywhere else unless we use our own ISBN....true? (maybe I have misunderstood). lastly, how would you start another brand if Amazon won't allow 2nd KDP account? thank you.

I just published my first book right before I found your video. LOL I do have a lot of what you talked about and I have a LuLu about as well. I tried publishing a book 3 years ago but I did not do it. While I am waiting to be approved with KDP with my first prayer journal.

Great info ! I have some questions???? Can you please answer them asap before your book bag course opens up again, I want to join. Question no. 1 when I buy your course, will I be able to keep it , and use it when I want too ? You don’t cancel the course after a certain time ? It’s mine ? There are courses that are doing this . Question no. 2 I write children’s books , you do coloring books , is this course for children’s book authors too?
