Excellent video!! This is exactly how to do it!! Ignore the haters - I'm a parent to 2 toddlers, work a 9-6 Mon-Fri and what you set out is exactly how I run my ebay business. Photo/List/Pack in the evening from 9pm to 11pm. Hit the post office on my lunch break at work, and source at the weekends. With the extra income we were able to upgrade our car and also take the kids on a family holiday. Totally worth it
Excellent video. Exactly what I need or anyone planning to delve into this business. I recently retired. My goal is to have something to occupy my time and not be a couch potato and of course the supplemental income. This will encourage me to go through my pile of hoard I accumulated. Thank you so much!!
Leave for work early and drop off parcels before opening hours at any post office with PO Boxes where there is a sorter sorting to PO Boxes before opening hours and where they allow collection of PO Box parcels before hours (use all prepaid eBay printed labels so it is just a drop off).
This was fantastic, Matt. I’ve been about a 1/4 time eBay seller the past few years since I got into real estate. I have one personal loan and a credit card that I want to pay off. After watching your video I’ve decided to crank it up on eBay again and create a plan to get those fully paid off within a year solely using eBay income. This way I can devote my real estate commissions to other investments and my daily living expenses. Thanks for the inspiration!
@@TheAussieFlipper I am impressed, I believe there is something about your sleep pattern that has helped with that 'unbreakable schedule'... I need to figure out how I can get to bed earlier to try this. How do you relax and go to sleep so early?
Another video topic if you haven’t yet - your thoughts on being an everything seller vs. focusing all in on one of the niches you sell frequently like shoes or media. A lot of the eBay gurus say being an everything seller limits your growth. Would love to hear your take and whether you’ve ever thought about niching down.
I like this video because its basically a classic. You mentioned 40% of listings being a best offer, what determines if you decide to make best offer available for an item? Also, does this mean you wake up at 4:30am!? What time do you go to bed? You've got me thinking I have to change my sleep schedule!
THANK YOU! This is amazing and exactly what I needed. I have been on vacation mode in my eBay for several months due to divorce and moving, and I've been apprehensive to start again due to that awful word, FEAR. I'm 56 years old with one child left at home in school. My income is very low, and my goal is to be able to switch to eBay full-time within 2 years, which shouldn't be hard considering my current income.
I worked in the fitness industry and managed staff. When it came to commission for them we helped them set goals to motivate them to hit there budgets. The way you explained setting a goal was absolutely perfect. This video is great for anybody and everybody at all different ebay levels. Solid work man!
@@TheAussieFlipper Alright just wondering as I have seen many american youtubers such as thriftschool selling there and was wondering if its good here too. I might give it a go.
Great video. International shipping is great as long as you're an established account with over 200 feedback and you're 100% accurate in your descriptions. If you're a new seller who's learning the ropes, hold off on it until you've had enough experience ie: 200+ positive transactions where nothing has gone wrong.
Loved this vid Matt! Thank you so much! I narrowed my problem down to selling low priced items & not awesome items. Setting some goals & a profit amount will help so much with what I’m buying. Implementing these great ideas asap! 👍🏻
Great Video Matt … just wondering if you think selling on EBay without a store can hinder your sales ? As a single parent working I just can’t commit to $27.95 a month at the moment… I would love to know your thoughts on selling with & without a eBay store 😀
Thanks for the great vid. Is there a reason you don’t use Sendle for postage over Aus Post ? Sendle seems cheaper and they pick up from your house saving you a trip to post office ?
About the other store, starting from scratch. Why would you listen to people in the comments hating on it. That was a great series, so good to see a store started from scratch. Please revisit that series and carry on with it. There’s a lot of sellers, seasoned sellers - my self included- who still have the mindset of buy it- list it, no matter what it is, but also, on the flip side, if I was to start again, with £50 ($100 au) what would I buy. That series quenched a thirst. Please, if you are able to, revisit that series. Ignore the nay sayers 👍 love the vids btw
Fantastic, easy to understand video mate 👍 It's great to know that I'm doing most of these steps already, even down to sourcing and posting on work breaks. I just need to tweak a few things to ultimately generate more, higher priced sales.
Hi Matt, love your 9-5 working content videos & loved courtneys videos. 1 question - if setting up an ABN for selling, can I claim on travel to sourch stock. Am aware would need to keep a log book. Cheers Loz
Listing views highlight interest in your item and let’s you know it’s being seen. Usually it’s a pricing issue or some missing information to get the deal done! Keep up the good work mate
@@zovocs unsure mate, more views isn't necessarily a good thing. focus on days listed. If there isn't many views tweak the title and price if there is alot of views tweak price.
Like the info about promoted listing 3% accounts for 60% of your listings. Thats mind blowing. Guess i may try that also. Ta Matt. As I was looking to promote but had no solid evidence. Have a prosperous week.
Focus and discipline need to be underlined. Trust the process… It will pay off, without a doubt… If you only kind of focused or disciplined, your result will reflect that. Just get started, never look back
