The real reason Tony sacrificed himself, the one timeline the Avengers defeat Thanos just happens to be the same one he can’t get out of being sentenced.
@@Undercapsule thats not true the avengers pretty much won in almost every timeline its just the fact that the TVA stopped them or something other than thanos destroyed the earth
@@Captaindark900 might not be… Remember, Obadiah Stane was his father’s lifelong friend and was bascially the cofounder… And don’t quote me on there being shareholders… I remember that but it could just be a false memory, I’m not sure…
5:00 actually, I might be completely wrong but this could be deemed as self-defence too, it was Rhodey who came into his house, stole his suit and started beefing with him
Not to sidetrack it to Homecoming, but he gave a minor a high tech suit and the first thing he does is recruit him into a big battle between the Avengers. What made him think Peter wasn't get all hyped up and wanting to be more? I'm not a fan of Homecoming's Premise, honestly.
I don't think Tony was trying to kill Rhodey when he fired the blast at him in Iron Man 2 (he's his friend at the end of the day, and likely knew the suit would protect him). The second-degree murder charge seems a bit harsh in my opinion.
One thing missing from the video. Since he built military equipment he's likely signed the US equivalent of the "official secrets act" so testing military equipment in full public view could be in violation of some kind of intelligence/espionage law
Wouldn't there be additional crimes committed because he brought Spider-Man, who at the time was a teenager in high school, into a fight against Captain America's team, which was mostly viewed as terrorists pretty much? I mean, Spider-Man wasn't even totally on board to go, either. If I'm remembering it correctly, didn't Stark threaten to tell his Aunt May he was Spider-Man?
Yep a minor taken across state and international lines without parental approval regarding of who's ordering stark is kidnapping at minimum and that's not adding to it putting him in harms way.
It seems to me that it is illegal to take a minor without passport (Peter said that he doesn't have passport) to Germany to arrest dangerous superhumans.
Most of what Tony did was in self defense. Tony is cocky and slick. The first computer hacking should’ve been pardoned due to the fact pepper was helping Tony figure out what obidah was up to with the iron monger suit
0:13 Correction: This version isnt 6'1,we see in Iron Man 1 that his height is shown on papers as 5'9,thats literally Earth 199,999s Tony Starks canonical height. RDJ himself is like 5'7 without elevator boots As we saw in No Way Home and in Spiderverse with 6'9 Miguel and 6'4 Peter not all alternate versions have the same stats. The Ultimate universe for example has different stats than 616
6:52 - the end of Iron Man 3 was all self defense, his friend was captured he was attempting to save him, War Machine armor is HIS PROPERTY so the network he hacked was his own, and as you pointed out Tony is a LEAGAL WEAPONS maker so creating those weapons to save Rodie was also self defense. also the fake Mandarin was a terrorist wanted by the US Government - Tony is a member of the Avengers at this point and has the authority to act.
I feel that he should have gotten multiple pardons. Saved everyone on the heli-carrier, saved the world, saved the president, saved the universe, etc. I can't remember more.
I would argue one of the unauthorized computer accesses was unwarranted because he owns the company. How can it be illegal to access your own property?
6:54 Well, Tony called Rhodes before "hacking" into Rhodes Network, Rhodes gave his own password to Tony so I don't think it would apply because he had full permission
Tbh knowing how good Tony was at speaking, argumenting his stance and finding justifications, I believe he would have been able to be pardoned for at least majority of the charges
It is kinda questionable subject. Because there is not a word "accedent" in jurisdiction language. Even one accident MG shot on plane fuselage is not an "accident" for the law
Damn I don’t think any character on this channel is gonna come close to the 350 million dollar fine Iron Man would be paying unless they also destroy government property
Judging by the fact that he collected small crimes like "reckless endangerment" and so on I wonder how many he would be able to pay off with bail money and how much it could get minimised for good behavior. Also I do wonder whelther unauthorised computer access" would really being a crime. After all it was his company and someone locked him out pretty much illegally. (He had ownership to the servers and the PC.)
0:22 You forgot a big one: Unliscensed use of copyrighted music. (Its a bit meta in this case) when making this movie, they didn't actually have permission to use AC/DC's song "Back in Black". AC/DC's laywers followed up with a lawsuit.
Wow, I'd think commercial movies wouldn't make rookie mistake like that. Maybe they were hoping to pay the fines afterwards when they make back the money from the movie.
Tony's full name is actually Anthony Edwards Stark In armour he is 6'6" without it he's 6'1" And I'm pretty sure that Iron Man suit weighs 192 kg but outside the suit Tony weighs 70 kg + There is no "unauthorized computer access" as it was his computer and he's the CEO of the company and "accessing a network without authorization" as Rhodey gave Tony permission to access his network, so his sentence should've been 33, 8 months in prison
The Government did not order Ironman to recruit Spiderman, he should be charged for reckless child endangerment even if the child in question has superpowers as Peter Parker was only in the superhero gig for a month prior to the events of "Captain America Civil War", Peter was Coerced into a fight that he had no business to be fighting in(This is one of the major reasons why Spiderman was considered to be the least respected out of most Marvel heroes) as of course he did not know what was really going on between his two favorite heroes.
Honestly Im pretty sure hy atleast The Avengers or post Iron man 2, he has special privileges and likely presidential pardon (atleast for the U.S crimes and possible allies such as NATO)
5:02 That is not attempted murder, Tony knew that Rhodey was in his suit and his intentions was just to kick his ass. Instead he could be fined for aggravated assault. Woulda been aggravated battery if he actually did kick his ass like he expected
I think he would register the iron man suit as experiment aircraft. For example, the jetpack is considered an experimental aircraft. However, he would be charge for not filing a flight plan with FAA.
2:24 Going back to unalive the guys that kidnapped him is indeed a crime. He is not a sworn officer of the law, Tony Stark is a civilian contractor. (Premeditated Unaliving)
